Re: My First Fan Letter
we have a joke about the ww1 front we had against the Italians, the night before the push the generals ordered all the Bosnians to sharpen their knives loudly, the night was filled with sounds of grinding metal in the morning when the time came to push the Italian front was gone.
I dont blame them
the knives looked something like this
How about what happened on the fronts soldiers shooting the dead bodies on the other side of the front so they would decay more rapidly and attract more flies to make their entrenchment more difficult.

Ah, I see... you're basing your favorite-ness on how effective they are.
I was basing mine on 'how many chicks I pick up when I bring one to a party'...

Nope if in a bar trouble arises this is what you do.
You grab the smallest person (that you can easily lift) near you and use him to knock everyone you dont know down. There is always a skinny twiggy person available to be used as a weapon in a bar fight.

Favorite Weapon
I'm fond of the caltrop. Because the correct way to deploy it is to drop it and run away.

Indeed. My favorite battles were never fought.
Contrary to frako's advice on bar fights (to fling the slightest fellow within reach at the aggressors), I find instead that the best maneuver is the preemptive door step.
Failing access to the primary door, the bathroom door works well: hardly any man, even one martially aroused and battle-ready drunk, can, in easy conscience, attempt to break down the bathroom door when another man is inside.

"If you can keep your head while those around you are losing theirs, you can collect a lot of heads."

Assuming there is anything of the bar left standing before the bar brawl is done
The way our bar brawls took place was that usually a few boys from one village would go to the neighboring village because of their girls, the boys from that village usually dint like that so a "friendly" brawl took place.
Now days we have taxes to appease the boys from the village your girl is at usually they consist of 2 cases of beer (24 liters) and 25 liters of wine but can vary, depending on what kind of person you are and what kind of girl you are dating.

Wisconsin
As a proud resident of Wisconsin I can attest that this is all true. But the city people in Milwaukee are pikers and don't really know how to drink. You need to come to the north country, to the small town bars and the country bars, to see true drinking.
Wisconsin is known for bars in the middle of nowhere. You just drive down a country road and at the crossroads is a bar, Nothing else just a bar. The town we live near has 2400 residents, no stoplight and 7 bars and 2 liquor stores. Within 10 mile radius of the town there are at least 8 other bars out in the country. Also, all bars sell off sale. So if you are ready to go home and there is no open liquor store around the bar can sell you beer and/or liquor. I think the limit is 4 liters.

Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts
