Phat, you gotta know at your long time here at the forum that this response doesn't work with non-Christians. "No true scottsman" will be the response.
People know Hitler wasn't actually doing Gods work by killing the Jews, who incidently were Gods chosen people, duh.

Re: Nobody does Genocide better Christianity
Holy copy and paste batman. Worst ever. Longest ever. That should be some sort of fine or something.
So that settles it? Hitler was a Bible believing Christian who believes in the same God as I/we do and was doing the work of God? My goodness how can we possibly go over everything you copied and pasted? How?
That really is quite rediculous what you did right there. Can you summarize your argument in a paragraph or two for all the people who don't feel like reading a frikkin book on a debate forum?

What I mean by true Christian being a follower of Christ is doing what He tells us in the NT. The Great Commision, laying hands on the sick, giving people hope, living a rightoues life thru Him. Our faith in Jesus and us commiting our lives to Him will show by our actions. Sometimes we mess up but not by murdering millions of Gods chosen people. I'm not sure how that can be implied that Hitler was a follower of Christ by murdering His own people.
Doing good works doesn't make us a Christian but is a byproduct. You can still be saved on your deathbed without the good works but as far a knowing if someone is a Christian a good guage is how they live their lives.
I can't know who is a true Christian by just what they say but by what they do. "ye shall know them by their fruits". Hitlers' fruits weren't Christlike. We know that by what Jesus taught.

Taz writes:
So, do you think all the christians who bore false witness against Obama are true christians or not?
No idea Taz. Just because people call themselves Christians doesn't make them so. I don't know any of these people. Do you?
Do you think people like GWB, who very vocally supported the criminalization of homosexuality. Yeah, it was finally declared unconstitutional in 2002 by the US supreme court. Answer directly.
Yes sir Taz sir. Do you want me to get down and give you twenty?
As far as GWB if we're going soley based on his presidency it's hard to say. . As far as his personal life goes I don't know. If we go by what he did for the 8 yrs it's hard to say he was a follower of Jesus but I don't know.
Do you think criminalizing homosexuality is christ-like or not?
No, I don't. Just as much as I don't think criminalizing gossip is Christllike either.
Do you think Michele Bachmann is a true christian or not?
Don't know who she is. Don't follow politics. I'll read up on her and let you know.
What about Rush Limbaugh?
He certainly slanders a lot of people doesn't he? Would Jesus slander all those people? No He wouldn't. It's hard to say he is a follower of Jesus but I don't know.
Remember what I said about dodging the question with verbose? Don't do that.
Yes sir Taz sir. I hope I have answered to your liking so far. Have mercy on me sir.
I'm not even asking for a fact. I'm asking for your opinion. According to your standard, are these people true christians?
For the record Tazmania, I have no clue what these people are. Christian or not, saved or not. I can only go buy what I see and what we see isn't always reality. This is just my opinion based on what we know of them, obviously.

I will say, however, that "praying" is a fancy word for "doing nothing useful whatsoever."
*Buzzer* That would be the "incorrect" buzzer.
Praying is talking to God. That's what praying is. It's not rubbing a magic lantern.
Sometimes we just talk to God. That's praying. Sometimes we ask God to help someone. That's praying.
Sometimes we even ask God to help us. That's praying.
Sometimes we just thank God for being who He is and caring for us. That's praying.
There are many forms of prayer. What prayer is not is this:
"doing nothing useful whatsoever."
Go ahead and start a prayer thread so you can learn what prayer is.

That darn urban dictionary...I knew I was close, and thank you.
Although it seems to be spelled a lot of different ways.

Summation (even tho one post early)
I believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God.
That doesn't give anyone the right to judge my morality.
Funny tho, that this thread was started to expose certain Christians who claim to be morally superior, and yet I would say it's not the Christians being exposed in this thread as claiming the moral high ground.
