The title in this message seems to break certain forum guidelines.
Well, definitly breaks forum guidelines. I don't see this type of "debating" in any of Buz' posts.

Report Discussion Problems Only
But this thread isn't the FFA and you are out of line.
From the OP: If you aren't reporting a problem or commenting concerning an Administrative message you received, you should not be posting in this thread.
Moderators are quite capable of explaining that the one rule for free for all is to stay on topic and we can accomplish that task without name calling.
Please refrain from responding to complainants.
Thanks

When is enough enough?
Chuckie has a thing for me, but his harassment in the Chat/Comment thread is getting to be a bit much.
I criticized the whole premise of the topic. It seems Chuckie took offense.
Since then this is the quality of his posts to me.
What is it you really want? I'm here for you. Would you like to chat about something in particular? This is the thread for it.
What's your favorite color? Mines black, also can be white too, ttyl.
Message 137
I'm just trying to get to know you better. Do you like TV? What's your favorite movie? I have many...what's up for the weekend?
Message 139
Theo, you there?
Message 140
That was the whole post.
Detecting Sarcasm was never your strong point ehe Theo?
Theo, so do you like Meatloaf better or Lasagna? So you never mentioned what's up for the weekend, come on man. Or your favorite color.
Message 142
Why the thumbs down man? We're just getting to know eachother here.
Message 143
Talk to ya later Theo. Are you gonna be on tonight? Oh yeah my favorite cereal is Fruity prebbles. What's yers? Are you for Star Trek or Star Wars? I'm undecided myself. I know...lol...im like, so on the fence about certain things. I like this a lot. Talk to ya later man. Oh yeah you forgot to tell me about meatloaf and lasagna. Oh yeah favorite movie too. Bye.
Message 146
This is a quality website. The best discussion site on the web. It is a shame to see it being fill up with crap like this. As I said before if people want to chat they should go to chat site or IRC.
Chuckie if you want to send personal messages like this send them through the message system, quit filling up the board with your childish attempts at harassment.

From Theodoric: "This thread seems to be a waste of board resources. If people want to talk about obesity or anything else I think they should start a topic on that topic.
Just having a thread about anything seems to be counter to the purpose and history of this site. I did not just give a thumbs down because I knew I would be accused of randomly attacking chuckie(I am sure I will still be accused of it).
This thread again shows Chuckies unfitness for moderator as he is missing the whole purpose of the site."

There's Theo's comment in that thread he's talking about. His first comment on that thread, and he's complaining about my response? Halarious!
He shouldn't have commented then if he doesn't like it. In the words of Jar "it really is that simple".

How long you been getting online noe Panda? Years? And you think no people can have the same user name?
You such a waste of space on this site.
You really should be suspended. No one will tho...Moose tried to even things out and what happens?
A moderator suspends a Admin?
I didn't see the uproar about how Buz is treated here by Percy? No one suspended Percy for removing certain posting privalages from Buz...no uproar whatsoever.
For Hooah tho???? Someone frequently breaks forum rules daily!
This site is the best on the internet? Yeah, if you think censoring Creationists is cool that is.
Panda, you Theo and Hooah all need to leave this site. It has no credibility with the likes of you people posting here. Simple.

Re: When is enough enough?
Chuck, the purpose of moderation is not to get rid of people you dislike nor to suppress facts that you want to be hidden.
In reality Moose made a post which simply insulted another member for no clear reason and then issued a full week's suspension also for no clear reason. That is very bad moderation. Maybe you think that it is good because it was one of your opponents who was suspended, but if the boot was on the other foot you would be complaining bitterly about the unfairness of it.
Buz was suspended from the science forum because he isn't even willing to admit that his "evidence" can be rejected when it turns out to be false. Because he produces long-drawn out threads where he keeps repeating the same indefensible assertions (you saw the recent thermodynamics thread, well that's just one example). Because he has a habit of making up his own "facts". He was suspended from PNT for a while because he twice abandoned a lengthy proposal rather than work it into an acceptable form. In both cases we have clear justification for the administrator action. Not so with Moose's suspension of Hooah.
If Hooah really was a serious problem poster the way to deal with it is not long suspensions delivered for no apparent reason at all. He should be dealt with in the same way that Buz was - explaining the problem, offering him the chance to work his way out of trouble. That would be fair. But that isn't what you want, is it?

Re: When is enough enough?
Buz is a creationist. I don't care what his standard of evidence is. He has creationist evidence. We are creationists, hence the debate. You know, the debate?
After the 300 or so posts all can give there summations and it's over. During the debating each evolutionist can reject Buz' evidence with their evidence that's how it works in real debating.
When Christopher Hitchens debated WLC he did not censor his views on the matter.
This is wrong and it's a complete joke that Administration has banned a good creationist from commenting in the Science section.
It shouldn't be.
Other members have a problem with this? How many? Take a vote. Let's ask the members. Not that it should matter but I think most welcome Buz to post in the Science section.
All the fuss over Hooah being banned. So what if he didn't deserve it this time. How many other times DID he?
Buz should be back. Simple as that. If people don't like his arguments man up and debate it. Then give a summation. Don't ban the members.

Clinging to refuted fabrications is not meaningful debate. Being a creationist does not give Buz special license to invent "evidence".

Buz is a "good" creationist? His inability to debate rationally (including his refusal to do even basic fact-checking) is the problem. Are you saying that creationists need special allowances because none of them are capable of putting up a decent argument?

I doubt that he ever deserved a full week. Buzsaw posts a lot of crap that likely deserves a suspension, too but you don't see me calling for him to get a random suspension for a week.

By which you mean that his inability to follow the rules of the science forums should carry no penalty at all. Because he's a creationist.

Re: When is enough enough?
Yes Buz should be back, since Buz provides a great foil allowing people to post serious content. Buz does not have any evidence and Buz has never presented any evidence and when challenged Buz has never provided even a single link to a post where Buz provided evidence.
But Buz should be back and allowed to continue to demonstrate the Creationists have no evidence and have not had any evidence for at least two hundred and fifty years.

Please Move the Discussion
The recent discussion is very interesting, but could it perhaps be moved to the General Discussion Of Moderation Procedures (aka 'The Whine List') thread?
Let me make just a few brief comments.
I would love for Buz to be able to return to the science forums, but for better or worse I have set certain standards for participation there, and the most important is that discussion there be evidence-based. Robert Byers, Dawn Bertot and IamJoseph, to name three members who are familiar to most, have also run afoul of this requirement.
About evidence, I don't see evidence as being either creationist or evolutionist. Events that actually happened or things that actually existed leave evidence behind. I see evidence as a neutral player in the debate.
This site exists to examine creationism's assertion that its theories are every bit as much scientific as currently accepted scientific theories in fields like geology, cosmology, physics and biology.

I agree that simply being a Creationist is sufficient reason for someone to not be subject to the rules of the science areas.
It's also fine to point out those failings in the science areas, but remember, we are talking about folk trying to defend stuff that can NEVER be considered science.
