Humility is a virtue
Dr Adequate writes:
But the problem here is that people have different interests. I, for example, am exceptionally smart, and it is in my interest that everyone else on this forum should tangibly acknowledge this fact by becoming my slaves. But you're not going to, because you in fact believe that your interests are as valid as mine even though you can never hope to aspire to my god-like intellect.
Is it still arrogance if you actually are better than everyone else?

Formidably Dedicated
I suppose if you are going to blow yourself up for Allah, what's a little sodomy on the side?
quote:
Being sodomized is acceptable in Islam if the goal is to carry out jihad, according to a cleric on a new video making the rounds online.
In a video posted on YouTube last month, and as reported by the New York-based think-tank Gatestone Institute more recently, cleric Abu al-Dema al-Qasab's instructions include details on how to carry out a successful suicide bombing mission by hiding explosives in the bomber's anus.
"However, to undertake this jihadi approach you must agree to be sodomized for a while to widen your anus so it can hold the explosives," al-Dema al-Qasab tells followers in the video.

Immaculate preconception
quote:
A new law was signed by Arizona Governor Jan Brewer and went into effect on Thursday that has abortion advocates up in arms. The new law, titled Women’s Health and Safety Act deems a woman pregnant 2 weeks before conception.
I was laughing until I realized that I wasn't reading the Onion...and then I really laughed...and then I felt sad.

Re: Immaculate preconception
But we already know you don't really have to be that accurate when you're bashing the Right.
Well no you don't as it is a pretty broad target.
Upon reflection though I agree that it's not all that funny. Here is some real humour for you
I think that is a bible on the floor.

What's In a Name?
I play chess online under the same username that I have here.
So I was playing some random player and after ten minutes of silence the guy says,
"Dogmafood eh?"
I replied, "Yeah I brought it with me from another site for a tournament. Its a long story."
We play in silence for another 15 minutes or so and then he says...
"Are you Catholic?"

Nasty Weather
quote:
Oil sands death of hundreds of ducks in 2010 blamed on weather, no charges laid
quote:
The Environment Department released a report by a University of Alberta biologist Thursday that said nothing could have been done when an early winter storm in October 2010 forced the birds to land on the toxic waste ponds belonging to Syncrude and Suncor near Fort McMurray. Others landed on nearby roads and parking lots.
More than 550 birds, many of them covered in oily goo, had to be destroyed.

Re: Nasty Weather
Sarcasm I guess. Not very funny but certainly a joke.
If it is not laughable that some biologist convinced a judge that the weather was to blame then I don't know what is.
Funny in a mad sort of way.
Sorry to have fowled up the thread.

"I'm a Rotarian."
Pretty smooth.
Let me pause here a moment to assure you that I went gustatorily native in Asia
Yeah I don't know that I could ever willingly bring myself to eat a chicken's foot or a pig's brain. I suppose that it is all just protein but still.
Did you ever try the dog?

If there is a God and this is a picture of the universe,
can we deduce that God must be some kind of egg laying bird?
