Global Warming may remove the Lambeau Field advantage and stop the Packers from making the Super Bowl. So every cloud does indeed have a silver lining.Ridicule is the only weapon which can be used against unintelligible propositions. -- Thomas Jefferson We see monsters where science shows us windmills. -- Phat It has always struck me as odd that fundies devote so much time and effort into trying to find a naturalistic explanation for their mythical flood, while looking for magical explanations for things that actually happened. -- Dr. Adequate ...creationists have a great way to detect fraud and it doesn't take 8 or 40 years or even a scientific degree to spot the fraud--'if it disagrees with the bible then it is wrong'.... -- archaeologist

Perdition writes: Here in Colorado, we just had a mammoth snowstorm. Front Range gets the drift with heavy snow When you look at trends, you see global warming in action. Denver Post writes: February is typically so dry in metro Denver that the average snowfall for the entire month is 6.57 inches. The most snow previously received in 24 hours in a February was 12 inches in 1931, according to Weather Central . Im not sure that many around here would be global warming advocates at this moment, but we probably will again support the theory if we get a dry Spring and Summer. ![]()

Are you being serious right now Phat? When you have a hot summer, is that going to be evidence for you that "global warming" (now dubbed climate change, fyi) is occurring?
hint: "global warming" isn't what you think it is. "Global warming" isn't even the commonly used term any more. And for good reason.Mythology is what we call someone else’s religion. Joseph Campbell

![]() Actually, I was not being serious. I respect evidence as much as the next guy, and I think its quite undeniable that this planet is gonna have some major climate change over the next 100 years.

Have you looked at the various US or World climate maps?
Do you know the current extent of drought in those parts of the US that produce a considerable amount of our food? Have you followed the history of wild fires over the last decade and the losses over the last few years?Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

I am for one freaking out about the current weather. You hear almost nothing from Global warming deniers as of late when heat records all over the country are being broken daily.
Have we once and for all witnessed in our life times climate change? "You were not there for the beginning. You will not be there for the end. Your knowledge of what is going on can only be superficial and relative" William S. Burroughs

Have we once and for all witnessed in our life times climate change? One should never confuse short term spikes with long term warming. One is not the other. We could have long term cooling and still have occasions where the temp spikes.

You hear almost nothing from Global warming deniers as of late when heat records all over the country are being broken daily. And they're right to remain silent (for the most part). We're talking about a dangerous global temperature raise of just 2 degrees (K). We might be looking at higher but by 2 degrees the shit will have hit the fan. A 4K rise will probably be accompanied by a major extinction event. Without detailed record keeping, I am unlikely to notice that the weather is on average 2-4 degrees warmer around the planet. I probably wouldn't notice if it was 2 degrees warmer on average in my present location. Edited by Modulous, : No reason given.
