I am a creationist, but this is not meant to be an argument for anything. I simply have a question. Is there any example anywhere or any time in recorded history of one species evolving into a completely separate species? I do not mean one fish developing a new defense or a cow with a fifth leg, I mean something that is the equivalent of a fish mutating into a lizard or a bird? I realize that this is a long process that would be incredibly difficult to record. But since when is it science to believe something that has never happened in recorded history? Again, I do not mean for this to be an argument, just a sincere question. Are there any recorded events of one species changing to a completely different species?

I saw the response, but I did not get an answer. I was hoping with this thread I might get someone to make an honest effort to give an actual answer.

Hi Amp1022,
I think what you really mean is that you don't think you received a satisfactory answer. I know one of the answers contained a link, and frankly, we discourage the posting of bare links as answers and suggest using them only as supporting references. We prefer that people post arguments in their own words rather than the arguments of others through links.
But though you did say you had read the link, your opening post for this thread proposal does not reflect any acquaintance with its information, particularly the detailed information it contained about the definitions of species. And you said it contained no examples of species transitions when my own reading of that link is that it does. What was it that was wrong, for instance, with the example of the lab rat worm described in section 5.7. The link again is Observed Instances of Speciation.
