crashfrog writes: So, no. Old people don't start to regenerate teeth. Yet more evidence. Ok, I really didn't want to provide link after link. But this example is more stark and more clear for those who are less educated.

Hi Al,
Is the ability for the elderly to regenerate teeth important to any point you're trying to make that is relevant to the topic? I'm asking because I don't think our ability to relieve your misunderstanding exceeds your determination to misinterpret what you read as supporting what you think, so maybe this teeth diversion can be shelved. --Percy

Percy writes: Is the ability for the elderly to regenerate teeth important to any point you're trying to make I thought that the reverse was true. Crashfrog feels that the inability of the elderly to regenerate teeth is important to his cause. Maybe crashfrog could clarify what his cause is? If however, he is willing to accept that, infact, the elderly can regenerate teeth I am happy to have the debate move on to where ever it might take us.

Are you freaking serious?
Time for Inigo again. From your "source"
quote: Guess it never made the news as there is nothing else out there.
As the oldest person ever only lived to 122 there are lots problems with this "source".You can find support for just about any argument on the internet. The key is to verify and find support for those sources. Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts

If we linked to examples of old people not regrowing teeth would you accept it? Yes, there are rare cases where people grow a new set of teeth. Again, this is a VERY rare trait. On top of that, this doesn't explain the other differences in morphology such as jaw size, cranium size, eyebrow ridges, etc.

evidence You keep using that word, I don't think it means what you think it means, certainly not in a scientific context. What you have provided are at best unsupported anecdotes and in many cases the anecdotes don't even seem to support your claim. TTFN, WK *ABE* Damn ninja'd by Theoderic on the Princess Bride reference. That'll teach me to follow up all the links in case some of them contain actual evidence. I imagine that you have evidence of someone that lived to be at least 123?
Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

I find this comment by you to be absolutely stunning that you feel i should believe something else. I have seen no EVIDENCE to believe anything else. Anecdotes are not evidence. If you have other evidence please provide it. Don't waste my time with internet stories. If there is other evidence I will certainly look at it and make a determination as to whether to evidence is compelling or not. Theodoric writes: Why would I not believe this? Your link just reflects the oldest person according to the Guinness book of records. Sources show they have investigated individuals who have potentially been much older. Often people are denied entry simply due to inadequate paperwork. This can occur for many reasons and doesn't necessarily have anything to do with fraud.

Not just Guinness.
Sources show they have investigated individuals who have potentially been much older. Often people are denied entry simply due to inadequate paperwork. This can occur for many reasons and doesn't necessarily have anything to do with fraud. If it can't be verified it don't mean shit. Show me people you have evidence for that were older. You see the follow the scientific method and require evidence. How old do you believe the oldest person has lived to?Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts

Hi Big Al,
Whether the elderly regenerate teeth or how long people can live was not your original point. You were trying to argue that as people age they undergo morphological change that causes them to resemble what anthropologists mistakenly interpret as evolutionary predecessors of humans. --Percy
