Re: I don't get it
I remember you once mentioned problems with your username before, but I'm still no wiser as to why. What's funny about dwise1? Is there some blindingly-obvious pun that's persistently flying right over my head here?
It looks like he came up with the name - the wise one - and called himself dwise1(sorta like - thee wise one). Tho from his post you can see that was not his intention.

Finally got something. And I've used it before as a teen.. in a sense. Remember my age and google it. No comment. At least it doesn't sound random, which I dislike in many names used online.

Re: I don't get it
I certainly didn't see it myself, until a co-worker started laughing, at which point I said it out loud. You just need to remember that in colloquial English, especially American I guess, "the" can be pronounced as varients of "da".

I assume it is the Pokemon thing and not the midget sub.

Yeah, to nerdy and childish for mainstream usage, but nobody usually cares about names enough to look a japanese name up, plus, some of the names seem here are still weirder then mine. Guess topic is done now, it was nice to brainstorm a bit, even if my solution ended up being simple.

Well, some of us recognized the sub immediately. Being post pokemon age I did not know about that aspect.
Now if you had chosen "The Baron" or "Howl" or "Cinder" or "Jiji" or "Tombo" or "Ashitaka" I'd have caught the reference.

Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

If you changed your name to "Chat room empty" then it would look as if you spend a lot of time in the chat room
