Re: Cant we have an out and out loon category?
Cant we have an out & out LOON category?
I nominate me.
Do you really think you have a chance against the likes of DB and Dennis Markuze?
Next you'll be saying that Miley Cyrus will get Best Actress for her sterling work in High School Musical 2 as 'girl at pool'.

Some sort of Extraordinary Award for Dr Adequate, for his exceptionally impressive work on The Mayor Of Mondo. Brilliant stuff.

Artistic Contribution Award?

But my real reason for posting this nomination is for the "Best Newbie" award.
Yourself (i.e. Panda) and Stephen Push (StevieP as I will call him from now on) are both members who I hope to see consistently participate for some time to come.
Thanks.
And I am also liking Stephen Push's posts.

How did you discover EvC?
I can't remember - too long ago. (I was a lurker for quite a while.)
I think it was from some random google search.

They almost succeeded in making it trendy in the 90's.
They never succeeded in making it pleasant to drink, though.

Watching a DVD of Battlestar Galactica season one.
The new version?
Well, don't watch the last season: stop watching at the end of season 4.
I watched season 5 and I wish I could give it back.
To quote a reviewer: "Season 5 retroactively ruins the previous 4 seasons."
And yes, Starbuck is considerably better looking than Dirk Benedict.

Don't know about your stance on the last series. Word of God has it that they were making it all up since series one and I really liked the genetic memory thingy and the writers strike truncated series four (so I am told).
Either way one cuts it; great series, charismatic characters (poor Mr Gator), and (occasionally) some nice space battles.
Season 4 was cut in half (due to the strike) and so they made a season 5 (a.k.a. the second half of season 4).
I hated the last season - and I always advise people to avoid it.
It creates twice as many plot holes as it fills.
And some of it just plain makes no sense.
Up until season 5 though - a really good, solid series.

Thank you for the nomination, but I doubt I will ever progress beyond my 'supporting role'.
I seem unable to write long pieces of prose and I am frequently envious of the likes of the likes of Rahvin, Granny, etc. whom are able to write many paragraphs but still manage to avoid any waffle.
I definitely find that I get more from this site than I am able to contribute.
But that is probably why I like this forum so much.
But, as my contribution to these awards, I would like to nominate yourself as "Most Tenacious (but not in a stupid Buzsaw way)".
