Is God good?

You seem to be asking two different and unrelated questions; one related to God and the other related to some Bible stories.To address my beliefs on the former ("Is God good?") I would point you to a post I made some years ago in yet another iteration of the topic. You can find that post at Message 49 in the thread How do we know God is "Good"?.In the Bible stories again the answer would be "Of course that God is good" because that is the nature assigned to that character in that story.

That is called trolling.

Do the laws of one state or one society or one culture apply to other states, societies or cultures?

So let me ask this? So let me see if I have this correct (a simple yes or no will suffice): you believe that a real character in a book that, according to the book, wiped the face of the earth clean of nearly all living things, has a better moral fiber than Rahvin, an person that you only know via his postings on this website but via those postings has indicated a generally high moral standard? Is that correct?

The God of Genesis 2&3 should be held liable for creating an attractive nuisance.

That is easy. It is a different story written by a different author meant to serve a different purpose describing a different God.

But it is on topic. There is no one God found in the Bible rather a whole series as the concept of God evolved and each writer created a new God.The God that is associated with the Flood Myth is an evil critter. The God in the Jonah myth is an entirely different critter.

Jesus was a Jew.

But what does that have to do with the topic?You want God to be good, but what does the evidence say?

Hey, there's money in selling doomsday theories. Always has been.

As a Protestant Christian though I need to point out that that belief simply cheapens Jesus Christ and Christianity and turns it into a really selfish "What's in it for me" con job.It also makes God look like a fool and Jesus as little more than a burnt offering.

But that is only some Protestants and it still makes God look like a fool, Jesus worth little more than a burnt offering and diminishes all of what Jesus' life was worth.
