Whatever his intention, what he is underlining is the fact that some people, even if they are brilliant scientists or engineers, are incapable of expressing themselves in English. Neither common sense nor technical expertise are of any value if the problem isn't stated clearly.That is, indeed, one of the major problems in the creation/evolution debate.

I didn't say anything about details.I'm talking about your ability to convey the details that you did choose in a clear manner. In both words and pictures, you failed. The point that you're trying so ineptly to make seems to be that creationists put their commn sense above the expert knowledge of professionals trained in the field.Nobody here is doing that. We're not denying the expert conclusion. We don't know what it is. If you told us the answer and we rejected it in favour of our commn sense, then your point would be made.What you're doing is the equivlent of laughing at creationists for not understanding evolution and at the same time, refusing to tell them anything about evolution.

You also called it a, "normal everyday thing that most people deal with." If I'm deciding how many fat ladies my lawn furniture will hold, I'm not going to pay for an engineering feasibility study; I'm going to use my common sense, such as it is.

Which is why common sense is used and waiting for expertise is impractical. Your example doesnt relate to the EvC debate at all. I won't admit to being normal but my answer was right, wasn't it? (To be fair, I have zero knowledge of engineering but I do have some experience in construction.)

Who did that? What I saw was people asking you for more information. Since when is asking for more information a bad thing? What do you think EvC is here for?
