Re: Clinton
I've been hearing a lot about Clinton's speach but I haven't seen it. I'm not gonna be able to watch an hour long video here at work.
What did he talk about? What was so good about it?

Re: Clinton
What I thought was impressive about it was that it managed to successfully include a lot of rather detailed analysis (there are quite a lot of facts and figures) in order to comprehensively refute the claims of Obama’s opponents whilst simultaneously remaining amusing, engaging and quite inspirational. He didn’t treat the audience as if it were made up of idiots with attention deficit disorder. The speech demanded a degree of concentration to follow the arguments being made. And it did actually make an argument rather than be simply a list of slogans in the way that many political speeches are.

Re: Clinton
Just watch it when you can. It will do him an injustice to try to summarize it.

Sure. Sure.
I was commenting more on the quality of the speech than anything else. It was a cheeky comment pertaining to that. Nothing more.

Re: Clinton

To summarize:
Obama = good for America
Guy from crazy religious cult = bad for America
I don't vote. It's a meaningless task with little impact. It's a battle of rich, upper class elites jockeying for control of the White House.
But with that being said, there is no way on Earth I can justify voting for a member of a nutty religious cult that believes native Americans were Jews and Jesus hung out in Utah. GTFOH

Elmer Fudd loses ground
Rush Limbaugh: "He (Romney) could be Elmer Fudd, we're voting against Obama"
'Elmer Fudd' loses ground to President Obama in Ohio and nation, polls show

In Ohio, 15% of Republicans say that Mitt Romney deserves more credit for the death of Osama Bin Laden than Obama does, and 47% are not sure.
I think this is profoundly unfair: I'm every bit as not-black as Mitt Romney, so why aren't they giving me any credit?

Apparently the word 'pre-existing' wasn't taught in the third-grade class Romney dropped out of in order to have more time to devote to his campaigning.
If you change jobs you may be faced with having to get insurance again and finding that what was covered by your old insurer is indeed a pre-existing condition as far as your new insurer is concerned.
Oops...

Only if you can find a job that offers health care.

Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

Health insurance need not come from an employee plan.
But the idea is that a break in employment, which is the situation that Romney was talking about, can bring up the issue of pre-existing conditions.

Mitt Romney Totally Understands The Middle Class
In an interview with George Stephanopoulos, Mitt Romney was asked: Is $100,000 middle income? Middle income is $200,000 to $250,000 and less, Romney replied.
Oh, good. I'm glad we sorted that out. I wish my wife and I had middle income. With a single year's income we could pay off our mortgage three times and have enough money left over to pay off her student debt. And then next year we could think about buying that yacht I've always wanted. But unfortunately we are not members of the coveted middle class. If only we'd studied hard and worked hard and gone to college ... oh, wait, we did.
What do I have to do to have a middle income? Right now I'm open to suggestions such as kidnapping Mitt Romney and seeing how much I can get for a ransom. The Republican Party would pay me a small fortune not to release him.
