Life is too short to spend time arguing with some of the folks here.
This isn't reddit. This is a discussion board. I'm pretty sure we, as members, are expected to engage in discussion/debate and not just drive by link paste. If you don't want to do that, I don't think you should even enter the discussion. You'll notice that what you are doing makes you look bad and calls your character into question.

Whine, whine, whine
Yesterday a poster here was actually excusing and partially-denying the Stalin famines in the USSR, even though the link I posted discussing it was from the Library of Congress and taken from internal Soviet documents.
A liar for conservatism I see. I am that poster and I do not like your insinuations. Anyone that read the exchange would clearly so you are misrepresenting the exchange completely.
I first rebutted the crap you posted from Thomas Sewell. I even used arguments and facts. Something you seem to not be able to do. Then you posted the info from the library of congress claiming that it was the worst famine in communism. I then referred you to other Russian famines to show that that famine was just one of many. Sill waiting for you to show us where the "redistribution of wealth" was.
Now you claim you don't support your right wing CRAP because you don't want to argue with people that prove you are posting crap. Classic wingnut.
"Don't confuse me with the facts, my mind is made up."
If you don't want to support this crap with evidence quit posting it. Must I remind you.
quote:
5. Bare links with no supporting discussion should be avoided. Make the argument in your own words and use links as supporting references.
So if you can't support it, don't post it.

Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts
"God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness.

The Love Song of AARP and Obama
The Love Song of AARP and Obama, by Kimberley A. Strassel (Wall Street Journal)
When Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan address the AARP on Friday, good manners will no doubt keep them from asking this question: How can that lobby claim to speak for American seniors given its partisan role in passing ObamaCare?
Thanks to just-released emails from the House Energy and Commerce Committee, we now know that AARP worked through 2009-10 as an extension of a Democratic White House, toiling daily to pass a health bill that slashes $716 billion from Medicare, strips seniors of choice, and sets the stage for rationing. We know that despite AARP's awareness that its seniors overwhelmingly opposed the bill, the "nonpartisan membership organization" chose to serve the president's agenda.
The 71 pages of emails show an AARP management taking orders from the White House, scripting the president's talking points, working to keep its board "in line," and pledging fealty to "the cause." Seniors deserve to know all this, as AARP seeks to present itself as neutral in this presidential election.

Since the writer apparently doesn't know what Obamacare is, I wouldn't trust her to tell me anything else.

I don't care for Obama. Obama is reactionary, and i am a socialist.
Obama is the lesser evil, that is the only reason i favor him in the upcoming presidential election. Not because i like him or his policies. He is simply the lesser evil.

That is likely true, in that we would instead ignore you. Instead, you are seen as a potential GOOD adversary (for reasons I have already listed up-thread) in this thread. However, you are now nothing more than a conservative spam-bot who posts links that have nothing to do with anything and no bearing in reality.

Re: The Love Song of AARP and Obama
An insurance company was for ObamaCare!?!? Who would have thought!
Yea you know what, a lot of us liberals ARE angry about that. I would have preferred that the insurance companys die a miserable death so that we could actually reduce the cost of healthcare.
But even though we are unhappy about that, we all know one thing. ObamaCare is an undeniable step in the right direction. States can implement their own single payer systems like it looks like Vermont is going to and California was only 2 votes away from doing. So even though we didn't get real health care reform, we got a viable path to it.
And its not as if ANYONE expect Mitt Romney to be the person that rises above. Those exact same companies would be at his table planning exactly how they are going to spend all the new medicare dollars they are going to get once they turn it into a cupon program.
Both parties have a problem with corporate influence. If you are angry about that too, then get on the bandwagon Move to Amend

BUT if objects for gratitude and admiration are our desire, do they not present themselves every hour to our eyes? Do we not see a fair creation prepared to receive us the instant we are born --a world furnished to our hands, that cost us nothing? Is it we that light up the sun; that pour down the rain; and fill the earth with abundance? Whether we sleep or wake, the vast machinery of the universe still goes on. Are these things, and the blessings they indicate in future, nothing to, us? Can our gross feelings be excited by no other subjects than tragedy and suicide? Or is the gloomy pride of man become so intolerable, that nothing can flatter it but a sacrifice of the Creator? --Thomas Paine

Re: The Love Song of AARP and Obama
AARP also supported the Bush prescription drug bill. Totally written by insurance and drug companies to bilk the elderly out of $billions$. It was intentionally written as a confusing Cluster-Fuck. I spent months trying to help my parents figure it out. AARP is just another money grubbing insurance company.

Time for a change...
After nearly four years of failure, is it not now time to try a different approach? As this essay points out, our foreign policy in the Middle East is a complete failure. Why should anyone expect anything different in a second Obama administration?
(And please, rather than bash me for posting it, respond to the article.)
============
Collapse of the Cairo Doctrine: The Islamic world is convulsed with an explosion of anti-Americanism by Charles Krauthammer
In the week following 9/11/12 something big happened: the collapse of the Cairo Doctrine, the centerpiece of President Obama’s foreign policy. It was to reset the very course of post-9/11 America, creating, after the (allegedly) brutal depredations of the Bush years, a profound rapprochement with the Islamic world.
...
Sovereign U.S. territory is breached and U.S. interests are burned. And what is the official response? One administration denunciation after another of a movie trailer! A request to Google to review the trailer’s presence on YouTube. And sheriff’s deputies’ midnight voluntary interview with the suspected filmmaker. This in the land of the First Amendment.
What else can Obama do? At their convention, Democrats endlessly congratulated themselves on their one foreign-policy success: killing Osama bin Laden. A week later, the Salafist flag flies over four American embassies, even as the mob chants, Obama, Obama, there are still a billion Osamas.
A foreign policy in epic collapse. And, by the way, Vladimir Putin just expelled USAID from Russia. Another thank you from another recipient of another grand Obama reset.

Re: Time for a change...
Strange, up 'til yesterday no-one had heard of "the Cairo Doctrine", whatever that is. And now suddenly overnight it's been "the centerpiece of Obama's foreign policy" for the last four years.
This is contrary to my ideas of how time usually works, but I suppose it all seems perfectly normal to people who can blame Obama for the recession.
In another strange temporal anomaly, the collapse of this mysterious doctrine occurred "in the week following 9/11/12", and yet this represents "four years of failure", rather than, for example, four years of success followed by a failure.
I wonder if Obama knows that the centerpiece of his foreign policy has collapsed? I bet he doesn't. I bet Charles Krauthammer hasn't even told him what it is yet. But now that Krauthammer has finally gotten around to inventing this "Cairo Doctrine", perhaps he should drop the Prez a line and let him know what his policy's been for the last four years. He must be dying to find out. If Krauthammer owns a time machine, better still.
