Many years ago, on a honeymoon, after enjoying Niagra falls and the tacky heart-shaped bed, on a whim we drove up to Montreal. We visited the remarkable botanical gardens there and enjoyed a display of visiting, ancient Japanese bonsai. Lovely stuff.We planned to drive across Canada and then down into Vermont. Needing to change currency to buy gas, I stopped at a bank.My grade school/high school French wasn't great, but should have been sufficient. Alas, the teller seemed to enjoy confounding my obvious desire to change currency with magnificently slow, Gallic shrugs of incomprehension.At last, in an inspired moment, I leaned close and whispered, "Vive le Qubec libre!"I have no idea what she then chattered about so happily--I just kept saying "Oui, oui!" at what seemed like appropriate moments--but she changed my currency without further delay.

A priest in croatia sold some land belonging to the church for 1 million Euro, then took off with the money. True story and that's not the funny part hehe. His accomplice a woman from the bank helped him take the money from the bank. Later they where both charged for the crime but the priest the one who actually did the selling and the taking of the money can defend himself from outside jail, while his accomplice the woman has to pay 600 000 EUR bail to get out of jail lol.Talk about double standard the people are already talking how the woman tricked the priest, like eave did with Adam hehe
