If that's isn't an example of the far left I don't know what is.
It was "Do the right thing" as in no other choices are permitted among "right thinking" folks.
Hey...it said do the RIGHT thing!
If doing the RIGHT thing is an example of the far LEFT and RIGHT thinking folks are LEFT wing - then things are going to get VERY confused!!!

The Right Thing
I want to live in a country where as many people as possible are healthy, educated and productive. I think I know which candidate is more likely to move us in this direction, and I just voted for him this morning.

Re: The Right Thing
I didn't think Hilary Clinton was running.
Or a man.

The above ontological example models the zero premise to BB theory. It does so by applying the relative uniformity assumption that the alleged zero event eventually ontologically progressed from the compressed alleged sub-microscopic chaos to bloom/expand into all of the present observable order, more than it models the Biblical record evidence for the existence of Jehovah, the maximal Biblical god designer.

There's a joke in there somewhere about the right hand not knowing what the left is doing....
The "right thing" is to vote and the implication is to vote sensibly. For much of "The Rest of the World", that would be farther left than Obama.

I like her, what little I know of her.
But not enough to help split the vote. That can only help Romney.

The human understanding when it has once adopted an opinion (either as being the received opinion or as being agreeable to itself) draws all things else to support and agree with it.
- Francis Bacon
"There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs." - John Rogers
A world that can be explained even with bad reasons is a familiar world. But, on the other hand, in a universe suddenly divested of illusions and lights, man feels an alien, a stranger. His exile is without remedy since he is deprived of the memory of a lost home or the hope of a promised land. This divorce between man and his life, the actor and his setting, is properly the feeling of absurdity. — Albert Camus

Honesty...somewhat!
There was no "Vote for Obama because he has done... or will do..."
This morning I voted for Obama because I do not feel that I can trust a word that comes from the other candidate. After seeing how often Mitt has changed his words, I feel I must go for the lesser of two evils, which is Obama.
Onifre writes:
One side is full of homophobics, racists, creationsts, supporting a guy who believes in a ridiculous story about Joseph Smith and golden tablets.
This is another reason I cannot vote for the Republicans. So much hate toward other groups has been spewed out of that party within the last few months that frankly, they scare the daylights outta me!
However, Obama was actually my second choice as far as president was concerned. I was a very big fan of Gary Johnson, the Libertarian candidate. I feel that he has some great progressive ideas that would actually benefit the country. Also, my vote for Obama will count for about zero, since I live in Arizona, which is a Super-Red State.
In all honesty, I am not sure either of the main two candidates for President are that great and so it was not a main concern of mine. As an Arizona resident, my first main concern for this election is to do my part in hopefully removing Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his posse of hooligans that have been running our sheriff's office for too long. He has cost this state far too much money, has made too many deals under the table with family and friends for government contracts, and (while I believe prisoners should not be treated great) he has treated prisoners inhumanely, some of which has ended in deaths. It is time for Arizona to clean up this trash that has littered our state for too long. (Bonus=After the whole Birther thing, even a lot of Republicans have turned on Sheriff Joe, so it might finally be the year!!!!)

I find education is one of my key points that I care about and I feel that the Dems are more concerned with that aspect. This is the other reason that I leaned toward Obama and away from Romney.

Ignorant hatred is contagious...
Mitt Romney has personally raped and killed several children.
A vote for Romney is a vote for paedophiles!
Do you want your children sexually abused and killed?!
No?
Then vote Obama.
(I'll provide photos of dead children later...)

That isn't a baby step; it's more like a journey of a thousand miles.

In case of a tie...
This is where it gets interesting. If the electoral college ties at 269-269, then the House of Representatives gets to select the president on a one state/one vote basis. Basically, all of the representatives from a state get together and make a decision on whic candidate to support. Essentially a vote.
Since most states have more Republican representatives than democratic ones, Mitt would probably be the victor in such a scenario.
However, the Senate gets to choose the Vice President, and since more states have Democratic senators than Republican ones, the Vice President would probably stay Biden.
That would be a hollow victory for Democrats, as the VP only has as much power as the President gives him (with the sole exception of breaking ties in the Senate).

Really, you folks need to stop thinking that your opinions are the only ones out there, and the only ones that are correct.
I hope I never grow so old that I can't tell the difference between right and wrong. Funny, though, that you usually accuse us of moral relativism. "Can't see the water in which you swim", indeed.

Same sex marriage initiatives on the ballots in some states.
Almost certainly, the fairly long trend of voter rejection when same sex marriage is at stake is going to come to an end today.
The referendum in Maine would legalize same sex marriage.
The vote in Maryland is to repeal or leave in place legislative action to allow same sex marriage.
Minnesota is attempting to pass an amendment to their constitution that would ban same sex marriages.
Washington state referendum is yes/no vote on question of whether same sex marriage should be legalized.

Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. Thoreau: Civil Disobedience (1846)
The apathy of the people is enough to make every statue leap from its pedestal and hasten the resurrection of the dead. William Lloyd Garrison.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and deprecate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground, they want rain without thunder and lightning. Frederick Douglass
