In Memoriam - Buzsaw

When you're arguing with someone, it's sometimes easy to forget that they're a person rather than a collection of erroneous opinions. With Buz I think we got to know him sufficiently well that we didn't make that mistake: he was a person, with achievements and dreams and regrets like the rest of us, and he never tried to hide that fact like some do on the internet and pretend to be the oracular voice of truth speaking from a vacuum.For that reason, although we knew him best in his role as a stubborn old curmudgeon, we all know that he was much more than that. I'm sure his family must feel a terrible loss, and for what my words are worth I would offer them my sympathy and best wishes.

Yeah, Ivan Cherry is a great name. I'm still wondering why 77 years ago someone decided to name their kid Ivan. Did he have Russian ancestry?And now that he's gone, I guess no-one will ever know why he called himself Buzsaw and spelled it with just one z and not two. I wanted to ask him, but it was never the right time.
