Lots of memories this year
I was taking care of my elderly parents for the past 3 years. They lived on the other side of the Cascade Mountains from me and I was finding it exhausting driving 120 miles on almost a weekly basis to help them deal with health care issues. I was also working full time and going through chemotherapy. Finally 3 years ago my wife and I bought them a nice house here and moved them over.
Mom died at the end of March this year and Dad died at the beginning of August.
We have been sorting through their things and also lots of things that were my granparent's. I am finding all kinds of things that trigger great memories.
The best memory of all was of growing up in a loving, close family!

Re: Lots of memories this year
Thanks, Lari.
I will miss them. They both lived long, full lives, so I celebrate that rather than mourn their passing.....lives well lived.
