Re: Forever having another meltdown?
The board software allows banning at the Forum level, but not at the thread level. I added database fields for thread-level participation control a couple years ago but have not yet had time to implement it.

It's not software controlled at RPG.net either. A moderator just tells the participant to leave the thread. With further sanctions if they don't.

Re: Forever having another meltdown?
Percy has gone through several phases of using this method with some positive results. Message 26 and Message 288 are examples of it being used. I think you're right to think it might be worth employing this tactic with FEY as a means to maintaining thread integrity.

kofh2u and his freaking 7 stages
When is enough, enough with this guy. He posts the same crap on every thread.
If he can tangentially associate a thread with his whackoness, he posts this same shit over and over.
Why do we have to see and discuss his loony ideas on ever freaking thread?

Re: kofh2u and his freaking 7 stages
Far be it from me to pass judgement on Percy and his methods, but it seems that lately (past few months or so perhaps), anyone even remotely religious has (contrary to their whiny claims crying about persecution) gotten a free pass to spew as much bullshit as they want without worry. This, in my opinion, is due to the fact that this place is so hard up for opposition.
Just my opinion. It's not like I really give a shit. Carry on, EvC.

Yeah, he's like Maddenstein only theist. We don't need to see on every thread his wonderful incomprehensible stupid answer to everything.

He's also cluttering up the 'Is God Good' thread.
Eli is feeding him, mind.

The above ontological example models the zero premise to BB theory. It does so by applying the relative uniformity assumption that the alleged zero event eventually ontologically progressed from the compressed alleged sub-microscopic chaos to bloom/expand into all of the present observable order, more than it models the Biblical record evidence for the existence of Jehovah, the maximal Biblical god designer.

Re: kofh2u and his freaking 7 stages
It seems to me, after being back a while after a long absence, that everyone is getting a bit longer leash.
I think that's a good thing, since sometimes apparent topic drift is really topic circling that comes back on-topic from an unexpected angle.
But doing that fairly means putting up with a bit more of kofh2u-type nonsense. That's a fair exchange.
I've tried not to feed trollish behavior this time around, and it's hard--my results are mixed. Still, kofh2u's silliness, if ignored, is just white noise. It won't drown out strong, clear, on-topic posts.

wha??
Is this new thread Message 1 legitimate? I don't see any question posed.

Off topic runaway
Perhaps I'm the only one who cares but the Catholicism-Protestantism thread is not the Humor thread despite the opinions of some posting there (recent post by Theodoric about the seasons, Message 198), and it is hard enough to keep the topic in focus without the off-topic posts of kofh2u. I respectfully request moderator intervention. Thank you.

Re: Off topic runaway (Catholicism versus Protestantism)
Faith seems to have valid points. Rather than have a moderator comment get lost/ignored in the topic in question, let this message be the warning - Get/be on topic and be nice about it.
There. Warning done. Suspensions come next.

Or something like that.

Aren't you concerned that this warning won't be read?
