fakes muddy the water
many are known admitted fakes, and yet there has been no attempt I am aware of to segregate known fakes from what may be legitimate stones, and until that is done in a scientific manner subject to independant testing any stone is suspect.

Re: fakes muddy the water
[creationist] No, no, no! To discredit the Ica stones, you have to PROVE that each and every one is a fake! On the other hand, if only one fossil, like Piltdown Man, is hoax, then every single fossil known is a fake.
[/creationist] Edited to fix the joke (which probably isn't funny any more). This message has been edited by Chiroptera, 06-13-2004 06:16 PM

This thread has been dead for 7 1/2 years. If you want to revive it maybe you should post something pertinent and explain why it is pertinent. Your posts have the sound of a concern troll. Edited by Theodoric, : sound is a better word
Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts "God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness.

Re: fakes muddy the water
But if triceratops had been found in Asia, would that mean that they could had lived in SA?

Re: fakes muddy the water
triceratops was north american. it is currently extinct. no triceratops, living or dead, has ever been found in asia. several other ceratopsian species onced lived in asia, though, including the older, more primitive ceratopsians such as psittacosaurus and protoceratops. אָרַח
