It is about setting a precedent for others to follow for the safety of all. Just like insurancing your car. Interestingly, car insurance doesn't make anyone safer.

Provide historical examples and lets analyze them and compare those political systems against the USA.

Of course; the fear of guns will do just that: get you knee-jerk, freedom-quenching legislation passed in the blink of an eye.

But Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, (MADD), has reduced auto fatalities from a previous average of 50,000/annually to 25,000/annually, illustrating that the Death Penalty would do like wise for the murder rates.
