What is the big surprise?
I'm not at all sure what it is that you find surprising about the article?
We know that birds exist today and that bird like theropods existed as long ago as the Triassic period so what exactly do you find so unusual?

Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!
