Coy Boy, face it: the open creationists' case is stronger than what you crypto-creo lot suggest on the issue. Look only at the Chinese calendar, boy. They don't have years of hobbit and leprechaun, do they? Them all are familiar beasts there. Sagan's rationalization sounds weak and contrived. Face it, you lot might be backing the losing horse here. Still no bones, eh? And I see you're trying to be a wit. Keep posting gibberish, you're halfway there! You are arguing with a person who refers to himself in third feline.

Face it, Inadequate, the Cheshire cuts your bigbangist bollocks in your native English. And he suspects you can't even mumble in his native Purrish.

The cat is not saying that the fire-spewing part of dragon legends was necessarily based in reality. Its being purely mythical could be the case too. Both are possible.
In some cases pure reason is not enough to establish what is possible and what is impossible. For example, reason can establish that no big bunk creation, universal space expansion and so on are possible at all. Or that both special creation and evolution of death-dodging machines mutating from nothing are not physically possible and so on. That it takes a death-dodging machine to build another one could be deduced from the nature of the phenomenon itself so abiomagic of spontaneous generation or special creation could be understood to be physically impossible. Such details though as whether the dragons possessed a mechanism of spewing and igniting methane is not to be decided by pure reason. For that one would need to meet and see a living dragon in action.

The cat is not saying... "The cat" is not saying anything either literate or of any use in discussing the topic, which is "Did Dinosaurs live with man?" You claimed that there were dragons cavorting all over the place, playing around with people, but when challenged "Where are the bones?" you started talking about the big bang and other off-topic subjects. You have steadfastly avoided answering the question, so I'll help you see it more clearly: WHERE ARE THE BONES? So far you have shown you have nothing but apologetics, rhetoric, and obfuscation. Try coming up with some evidence for a change, like where are all of the dragon bones. Continuing to ignore this question, and responding with grade 3 gibberish, you're just making a fool of yourself. (Actually all the rest of us know there really aren't, and never has been, any dragons, hence there are no dragon bones, but you don't seem to have realized that yet.)Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge. Are you dense, Coy? It might be that there are plenty of bones but your classification of them is skewed and your entire chronology is but a fond assumption or there might even be extant specimens of dragons somewhere. I don't know. Crowing like you do there are no bones according to the interpretations of my church so let us bury the issue and declare my priests to be on the right track forever is no good. There is a controversy on the dragons and that is very good and that is to be dragged into the open, discussed and investigated more and more. Your priests are not on the right track at all and if the issue is threatening the demolish the whole neo-darwinian cathedral that is only to be welcomed. Understand?

It might be that there are plenty of bones but your classification of them is skewed... Any evidence of that? Can you point to particular bones and show where the classifications are incorrect? Or that some of those bones might belong to as specialized a creature as a dragon? Remember, for a large critter to fly requires very distinct bone structure and morphology. Look at chicken bones the next time you dine. Pay particular attention to the keeled sternum (breastbone).
...and your entire chronology is but a fond assumption... We are talking about bones, not fossils. Chronology doesn't apply. Either you have bones or you do not. So far, you do not.
...or there might even be extant specimens of dragons somewhere. Dragon of the gaps? You are getting sillier and sillier!
I don't know. Finally! Something we can all agree on!Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge. Belief gets in the way of learning--Robert A. It's no gaps, Coy Boy. It's glaring contradictions in your crypto-creo case. Either there is the minimum rate of soft tissue decay or there is not. If there is what it is? This is what has to be examined together with the fresh red cells found in the dragon's bones which are supposedly 70 or 170 million years old. As it is your story sounds fishy to the feline and the open creationists are welcome by him to exploit your contradictions and laugh at you for evading them like a little sissy. Whatever their agenda may be, they are handing your arse to you exposing your bollocks consequently cut with the Occham's razor sharply wielded by the feline. They are supposed to be idiotically dogmatic, aren't they? You keep stealing that privilege from them. Why is that? Need the moggy to ram the bollocks down that presumptuous throat?

Tell me, were you always like this or was there some sort of traumatic life event which triggered it?

Enjoying making them sly doctorly insinuations, Inadequate? In his early kittenhood the Cheshire was traumatised by Zmei Goryinitch fairy tales, if you insist to know. Zmei Goryinitch is the traditional Russian dragon in case you ignore that. Very scary dinosaur. Spits hell-fire and steals pretty maidens.

Read that: C-14 Dating Yeah, it's rubbish. The biggest lie in the paper is this: "W. Libby, who received the Nobel Prize for his C-14 research showed there is no possible way that bone collagen can be contaminated." Of course he didn't show that, and in the paper (written in 1964!) which they cite he merely said that he didn't know of such a mechanism.
Now take a look here. Among scientists, Libby's ignorance has been supplanted by actual knowledge. Among creationists, of course, his ignorance is passed off as proven fact. This gives them no credibility among scientists, of course, but it allows them to gull credulous dupes such as yourself.
