Please spare me the rants, don't take me for some scientific illiterate, that's your first mistake. Your second is never reading anything about your own theory, just what you have heard repeated over and over.
http://www.big-bang-theory.com/
quote:
According to the standard theory, our universe sprang into existence as "singularity" around 13.7 billion years ago. What is a "singularity" and where does it come from? Well, to be honest, we don't know for sure. Singularities are zones which defy our current understanding of physics. They are thought to exist at the core of "black holes." Black holes are areas of intense gravitational pressure. The pressure is thought to be so intense that finite matter is actually squished into infinite density (a mathematical concept which truly boggles the mind). These zones of infinite density are called "singularities." Our universe is thought to have begun as an infinitesimally small, infinitely hot, infinitely dense, something - a singularity. Where did it come from? We don't know. Why did it appear? We don't know.

That's just an explanation for laypeople. In their efforts to simplify the concept for easier understanding, they end up bringing on some inaccuracies.

As I said, the singularity is not a thing that can do stuff. It a state of the universe. That is, the universe exists at that point in spacetime. The singularity did not "create" the Universe.

I mean, I can find you websites that describe the big bang as a explosion, but the scientific explanation is not really like an explosion. Me dropping a link to that website is not showing you that the big band was an explosion.

So in reality you have NO math to base anything on as relativity completely fails at your imaginary event horizon.

You were talking about Dark Matter and Black Holes... those things do have math to base them on. As does The Singularity.

Since it seems everyones theory is as good as another's at this point I would say the fact that the math breaks down should give you a clue something is not right in wonderland.

Well yeah, its kind of a unique point in the universe. I'd expect things to get a little crazy.

I don't need to express the points in those links, your scientists did it for me quite clearly.
http://www.nasa.gov/...n_pages/juno/multimedia/pia03155.html
quote:
These emissions, produced by electric currents generated by the satellites, flow along Jupiter's magnetic field, bouncing in and out of the upper atmosphere. They are unlike anything seen on Earth.

I'm not sure what that's referring to or why you even posted it.

99.99% plasma is common knowledge, except to those that deny those electric currents they see in space. Even NASA will tell you that.
http://www.nasa.gov/...es/rbsp/news/electric-atmosphere.html

Oh, I see. It doesn't mean what I thought you were saying it meant.

Can you express what it means in your own words or not? Can you explain it to me without linking to a website? You said that 99.99% of the universe is plasma, what does that mean?

Now this one:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plasma_(physics)

has this to say:

quote:
The current consensus is that about 96% of the total energy density in the universe is not plasma or any other form of ordinary matter, but a combination of cold dark matter and dark energy.

Do you think that contradicts your other statements? Why or why not?

So it might be just a tad bit important to learn a little about what plasma is and how it behaves, don't you think?

That's probably better advice for you. What are you, in your early 20's? You've read and understood some layman's explanations of cosmological science, and you've gotten all cocky and think you know something? And now you're gonna come here and learn us all about what you know?

Well you've failed at the first step. Your explanations of things expose some pretty basic ignorance and misunderstandings.

To redeem yourself, start with explaining, in your own words without links to other websites, what it means that "the universe is 99.99% plasma".

We don't debate by link. Express the points in those links in your own words and provide them for backup.

I'll save you some time.

I followed the three links. One was to an article on the 'Northern Lights, the second was to an article about the magnetosphere of Saturn and Saturnian auroras, the third pointed to an article discussing the electric field around Jupiter. No support at all for his 99+% plasma theory.

Don't take my word for the 99% figure, but I hope you will give some consideration to NASA.

But I am sure NASA just must be wrong too.

Why explain the sun to someone that will ignore all the evidence anyways? Your very own books say the universe is 99% plasma and theyve ignored it for over 100 years. if you were actually curious I'd show you were to find the answers you seek, but you seek no answers, and this I know because you argue against 99% plasma when your own books proclaim it.

http://helios.gsfc.nasa.gov/qa_cr.html#plasma

Ok, granted, that ignores that 96% of an invisible fairy dust exists called dark matter, but then you would not need that fairy dust if you just considered plasma.

http://books.google.com/books?vid=ISBN354065285X&id=4cHkd...

It's been known to be 99% plasma for over 100 years. Can give you a few hundred more links to mainstream books if you need them, by the very same people that then try to hide that fact. After all, they hid it from you. The've lied to you and told you it isn't, so ask yourself, what else are they lying about if they won't accept the very facts they say exist?

So you can't back up your claims and you cannot rebut the refutations of your arguments.

All you can do is post accusations and drop bare links.

Good to know.

Move along folks. Nothing to see here.

Yes, as I expected, ignore the facts to keep your fantasy alive, so let me help you out since you can't seem to read without having someone tell you what it says.

http://books.google.com/books?vid=ISBN0521364833&id=VcueZ...

It is an interesting fact that most of the material in the visible universe, as much as 99% according to some estimates, is in the plasma state.

http://books.google.com/books?vid=ISBN079235527X&id=ZSlJR...

quote:
Today it is recognized that 99.999% of all observable matter in the universe is in the plasma state and plasma are found at temperatures and densities far exceeding those that will support matter in the first three states.

http://books.google.com/books?vid=ISBN9812381554&id=v99GV...

quote:
It is estimated that as much as 99% of the universe is comprised of plasma

http://books.google.com/books?vid=ISBN354065285X&id=4cHkd...

quote:
it is thought that more than 99% of matter in the universe is plasma

But actually I could care less what hardheaded people like you believe, I am debating for all the rational people that will read this and see your arguments for what they are. Ignorance and a refusal to accept the truth for what it is. By making such absurd claims against the very facts your theory teaches you only brings more people to my side, for which I thank you profusely! Great work, couldn't have planned that better myself!

Nobody has joined your side because you haven't even staked one out yet.

All you can do is make accusations and drop bare links. You might as well be arguing for a young Earth.

Now, I'll give you one last chance to redeem yourself:

quote:
To redeem yourself, start with explaining, in your own words without links to other websites, what it means that "the universe is 99.99% plasma".

Can you even do that?

You've inputted a lot of words, but I don't believe that you even know what they mean. If you do know what they mean, then you should have no problem explaining it in your own words without links to websites.

Kinda like I did in Message 268 when I wrote:

quote:
I'll have you know that I knew that plasma was ionized gas without having to look it up. And that's part of the problem of saying that the universe is 99% plasma. If two ions of the same gas are fairly far apart, you could say the entire space between them was plasma, but that doesn't paint the right picture for the rest of space (as apposed to most of it), particularly interstellar and intergalactic regions. If you got a low density spot of ionized gas floating around, that counts as a plasma, but it ain't the sun.

Now's your time to shine. Show us what you know.

After all, they hid it from you. The've lied to you and told you it isn't, so ask yourself, what else are they lying about if they won't accept the very facts they say exist?

So, to summarize:

* All scientists everywhere believe the same things as you do, and in fact you're merely repeating what they say.

* All scientists everywhere reject your beliefs because they're too bigoted and/or brainwashed to accept them.

* You can prove that all scientists agree with you because of the stuff they all put on their websites and publish in their books for everyone to read.

* They are all engaged in a vast conspiracy to lie, to conceal the truth, and to hide the fact that you're right.

This is why you can prove the correctness of your opinions with reference to: "a few hundred more links to mainstream books [...] by the very same people that then try to hide that fact".

They're not very good at hiding facts, aren't they? Now if I wanted to hide a fact, I wouldn't publish a few hundred mainstream books asserting that it was true. Apparently the filthy deceitful liars whose word you take as gospel and rely on as the basis for your views are not merely mendacious but also deeply stupid, which is why we should accept their word that you're right.

---

We're used to crazy people on these forums, but usually their delusions, no matter how far removed from reality, display some measure of internal consistency. You're not even trying. You're being mad in a lazy half-assed sort of way, and have served us up with half-baked paranoid lunacy. You've got a Vast Conspiracy To Conceal The Truth, well done. And you've got your Heroic Legions Of Truthiness, that's good. But it doesn't seem to have occurred to you that in a proper paranoid conspiracy theory, they're not meant to be the same people.

What it means that the universe is 99% plasma is that the universe operates mostly by the laws of electrodynamics, hence the title of Einsteins paper "On the Electrodynamics of Moving Bodies". That you ignore this law upon which all of relativity rests is why you have no valid explanation for galactic rotation curves, except to hypothesise the existence of imaginary matter never observed or detected. If you included this force that binds the very atom you would realize no fairy dust was required. The electrical force is 10^36 powers stronger than gravity, which is why in the vast open stretches of the universe and galaxies the electrical force dominates. Only in isolated pockets where enough matter has condensed in one spot (such as our solar system), does the force of gravity become stronger.

Although since no one knows what gravity is, or what causes it, it may indeed be electrical in nature.

Why don't you look up a gravitational map of the moon and a magnetic map of the moon (since we have mapped both extensively) and see if any corrolation between the two exists????? let me know the results of your study, even though I already know the answer, you might find it interesting.

Dr. A writes:

But ... but ... that is the genius of it!

The best place to hide something is in plain sight - yes?
So you take the truth about plasma and you hide it in books and on the internet and on television.
No-one will be able to see that truth because it is under our very noses!
And this extensive proliferation and propagation of information is conclusive proof that scientists are trying to keep that information secret!!

Obviously.

No, that's a ramification. What is the statement saying?

Although since no one knows what gravity is,

Its the effect you see from the bending of spacetime by some mass.
