Imo, there ought to be millions, if not billions of transitionals -- so many that it would be without question.

Alright Buz, I give up - why should there be billions of transitionals?
Because it would take uncountable billions of transitionals to evolve everything from slime to sublime.

Every fossil is a transitional, if you look at it correctly.
Eh, yah, but how about some billions more of the macros to balance out the micros?

Hey buzsaw, lets try not to use Micro and Macro terminology. The understanding of how micro became macro is a big problem currently in my mind.
I wasn't aware that micro ever became macro?? Anyhow, I'm sure Crashy, to whom I was responding understands what I mean.

It's hard to understand what you meant, exactly, as I'm not sure why you would draw a distinction between a "macro"-transitional fossil and a "micro"-transitional fossil. Fossils are both.
My point was not to distinguish between them, but that there needs be more of a balance in the fossil record with a greater quantity of Macro fossils than exists.
