Author | Topic: Which animals would populate the earth if the ark was real? | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Again, what you find strange is irrelevant in this particular case. And what I said is very much scientific.
If either of the flood myths found in Genesis were true, one particular piece of evidence MUST be seen, and it is not. There is no need of dating, no need of pretending that dating doesn't work and it is absolutely conclusive. The Biblical Floods never happened.Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

Perhaps Message 3 might help saves us all some time. It covers what must be seen if any of the Biblical Flood myths were true. It's easy since it is really simple, relies on nothing but what the Bible stories actually say, doesn't matter when the flood happened, requires no dating methods that you might question and absolutely refutes any version of the Biblical Flood.

The humans would eat most every animal which would leave only the insects, fungi and germs. They would likely do well.

Termites would do okay, they ate the Ark which is why no one has ever found it.

You need to understand that I and many others here actually DO read the Bible. In fact I am a devout Christian for well over a half century and have helped found churches, build churches, teach adult and children's Sunday School.
The Biblical Flood stories are just myths and is the Exodus, the conquest of Canaan, the Garden of Eden, the Tower of Babel and many other parts of both the old and new Testaments. Go read Message 3 again.Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

The exodus and conquest of Canaan have archaeology to back it up. Actually, no they don't and just like with the Biblical Flood myths, there is proof that they never happened. Have you actually read the Armana letters, studied Egyptian history or are you going by what you have heard from folk like Rohl?
Rohl's revised chronology makes a strong case for this, even though he is an agnostic and had no motivation for bias in his research. There is a motivation for Rohl. He found that when his ideas were presented to peer review the only reaction was to point out all of his errors, omissions and misrepresentations. But fortunately, there is an audience trained not to question that is also a veritable gold mine and easy pickins. That is Biblical Christians. Thar's gold in them thar Biblical Christian pockets.Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

The links I have posted in this thread concerning evidence of the flood are not proposing the standardised flood model, and deserve more than the vague and unscientific response of "the flood has been disproven". Except you have been given far more than just the vague and unscientific response of "the flood has been disproven", you have been given links to posts that are simple, easy to understand and that prove conclusively that none of the flood stores in the Bible happened at any time modern man or modern animals or modern plants existed. If you actually read those links and continue to claim there was a Biblical flood you are simply being dishonest.Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

Your links are irrelevant. At the time of the PT boundary there were no humans in existence.
But even if there had been a world-wide flood at the PT boundary (and your links do not show or indicate that) it simply doesn't matter. They are also irrelevant based on the links I provided you. In this thread alone read Message 96 and Message 108. Dating doesn't matter. Whether you want to pretend that the PT-Boundary or the KT-Boundary are the imaginary world-wide flood is irrelevant. The Biblical Flood stories are just that, stories. They never happened.Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

But it is not "story", rather at least two different stories all mushed together. Genesis 6 says:
quote: while Genesis 7 says:
quote: Granted, neither story explains why God was pissed at the birds; likely he parked under a tree where doves roost, but we will never know. So it really depends on which Genesis Flood story you are working with.Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

That's really tough. Too bad it's irrelevant.
If any of the Biblical floods myths happened then EVERY living critter, every single living critter would show the same bottleneck and at the same time. If it doesn't show up in even one critter then the flood myths are kaput along with the Garden of Eden, Conquest of Canaan and Exodus. And it doesn't show up.Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

I would say with a fairly high level of confidence that the writers of the stories had no idea of "planet" or "world" comparable to what we have today.
But what we see today is a mishmash of old fireside stories and I doubt anyone, author, teller or audience considered them as factual.Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

Its not set in stone, its just a theory based on current rates of decay. And here comes yet another totally asinine idea promoted by the Christian Cult of Sciolism and Denial. That too is an idea that has been totally refuted. You are aware of Oklo aren't you? If gotta ask. Were you educated in one of those Christian Avoidance schools where the only goal is to keep kids from thinking or learning?Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

I gave you the evidence several times and it does not depend on rates of mutation or dating or anything except the Bible stories themselves.
Anyone today who is still claiming the Biblical Flood ever happened is just wrong. It really is that simple. Here it is yet again.

You really don't understand the basics do you?
If even one mammal, one bird, one reptile, one insect, one plant does NOT show a bottleneck at 4500 years ago, the Biblical Flood myths are refuted. There is no need to show that there are no 4500 year ago bottlenecks; if any of the Biblical Flood myths were true the bottleneck would show up in EVERY living animal and plant today. I must be seen in every human, every cow, every elephant, every chimp, every oak, every blade of grass, every butterfly, every skink, every frog, even in Biblical Christians. But it doesn't.Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

What is seriously amazing to me is that I have given evidence of a major rise in sea levels that also flooded vast portions of the interior of Pangea, and not one person has admitted to widespread flooding at the P-T boundary. Say what? Is there not even one person on this site that could admit, yes the P-T boundary does show widespread flooding? Sorry Charlie: Wide spread flooding is irrelevant. The Biblical Flood myths claim universal flooding. But it still don't matter because reality is that there were no humans around at the PT boundary. And even that is irrelevant because humans do not show a bottleneck even 4500 years ago. Neither do Oak trees.Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!
