And I'd say that Jesus says that Christianity is about what you do and why you do it is totally irrelevant.
Have you ever read the Bible?Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

If you had read the Bible you would see that God does change. Jesus said you need to do good works... Who was Jesus talking to? If He tells you that you personally need to do good works, I would listen. He has, in fact, told me to do good works from time to time. What God says to us is based on our interpretation of our prayers, conscience, and peers. As you have said before, it is wise to always question when someone claims to hear directly from God.

It is what the Bible says Jesus said. You began this with quotations from a dispensationalist, not even the Bible. But have you checked to see if what the dispensationalist says is what the Bible says Jesus said?
Jesus said nothing about doing good works cheerfully and in fact the very first miracle Jesus did was done grudgingly and under duress.Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

You know very well that that "theory" doesn't work in practice - in fact it's a failed hypothesis. A thinking person will discard a failed hypothesis whether Jesus is real or not. Clinging to a failed hypothesis is foolish whether Satan is real or not.
I might add that a person whom counts faith as righteousness would quite naturlally do good works anyway, at least in theory.

I did say "a thinking person". You can't have it both ways. You can't be a thinking person and put faith ahead of thought.

The argument that why would the good lord give us logic and reason if he didn't want us to apply them is kinda faulty argument. Well you've nailed that one. Makes you wonder why the good Lord gave us those abilities don't it? In short, the good lord sure gave us the ability to put millions of people in ovens and exterminate entire races. But I don't think anyone would argue that just because the good lord gave us that ability doesn't mean he wants us to use it.

Not at the same time. You can put faith first on Sunday and go back to thinking on Monday but you always have to park one of them at the door. Sure, you can. When you're thinking, you're a thinking person. When you're not, you're not.

THAT argument is about why the good Lord put suffering in the world that he created.Life, don't talk to me about life - Marvin the Paranoid Android

If you give a child a blank wall and a box of crayons you might not "want" him to draw on it but you can expect that he will.
