Do we no longer have any purpose? Do we just hang around for the rest of eternity with no more goals? I don't see why this is a point on which the atheists should be derided. Having an ultimate purpose and reaching that in the blink of an eye (in eternity terms) doesn't seem worse than having a finite number of purposes until such a time as there are no more purpose havers.
