I, personally, do not see any reason for having any religious classes in school. Maybe I'm not realizing what you mean by a "religion" class, but I have a one-word rebuttal for you: Anthropology. I mean, you did italicize "any".

I'm just bouncing off your post, but I just noticed the subtitle.
School is for Facts I have to object to that one. I remember reading some stupid poetry in English class and the teacher is all: "What does it mean to you?" And I'm all: "I don't know, something a frog and a bug and a flower, its pretty dumb." And she goes: "No, it metaphorical, there's a deeper meaning there, what is it?" Again i go: "Beats the hell out of me, all I see them talking about is plants and animals." "Can't I go back to the chemistry lab? I prefer to learn about facts, mam." "Fine, yes I'll go to the principal's office."

Teaching evolution is, in my opinion, teaching religion. I've taken both religion and evolution classes, they are not the same. Evolution classes focus on physical evidence, my religion classes focused on The Bible.
1. You are a chemical/biological accident. Upon death you will decompose and cease to exist as an individual. That was never taught in any evolution class I have taken.
2. You are a created for a purpose, held accountable for everything you do, etc. Unless you accept Jesus in your heart on your deathbed and then you're accountable for nothing.

how precisely can they claim with all certainty that Genesis and The Flood happened as absolute facts if they were not there to see it? God was there and he saw it, and then he told the authors what to write.

As far as I know if I walk in the middle of a sunny day for about an hour under the sun, my skin gets literally fried. Adaptation? a process of mutiple mutations to adapt to the environment producing evolution? our, or better said your "cousins" have hair on their bodies for that purpose. Specially more on their backs. well, we have some hair too but wait a second. More hair on out chest?? 2+2.... The answer to your question doesn't really pertain to the topic of this thread, so if you want to debate it, then let's not do it here. But a better evolutionary explanation might have to do with sexual selection pressuring us towards neoteny, rather than some kind of environmental adaptation. Learning is not an adventure if someone is force feeding. True education should be about training the mind to be free and to think, to discover and to enjoy. Considered and rejected. Unfortunately, we have a civilization to run here. We cannot afford to have our future citizens be ignorant of basic educational requirements, despite the fact that our current system prevents them from obtaining a "True" education.
Observe and make your own conclusions. Sorry, that'll ruin the economy. We need an educated workforce. Not a bunch of ignorant freeloaders.

I think that in chemistry for example, we could demonstrate most of it, and I am fairly certain that if the conclusions we have today - accumulated by much time and effort, are correct as I believe, then the students cannot help to make the same conclusions by observing. How do you demonstrate and observe sp3 hybridization or van der Waals force? That shit's pretty abstract... Man up: You just don't like evolution because of its implications to your religion. This has nothing to do with how children are educated.
But when it comes to defining something which is not demonstrable like the evolution theory, Chemistry gets like that too.
and leave it up to the students to work out whether it was millions of years or something which happens in our world on a generational basis, and remarkably quickly. Why though? Just because you don't like evolution? That's retarded.

Nope, since that contradicts the Creator God's revelation it is wrong and needs to be rethought. Wrong, since what you think is the Creator God's revelation does not match up with reality, then what you think is the Creator God's revelation is wrong and needs to be rethought.
