Think about it. Say we have a species that has never flown before, and has absolutely no instincts about how to fly. One day one of this species is born/hatched with flaps similar to wings. How would it know that it could use these flaps to glide/fly? And even if it did, it would not know how to fly, and its attempts at flight would probably either kill it or attract predators. And flying squirrels, how would they know to glide? Lets say we have a squirrel born with half developed flaps that do not allow flight, it decides to jump out of a tree, splat! Now we wait 1,000,000+ years for another wing flap squirrel to appear! This is my opinion, but i would like to hear yours! Any evidence FOR OR AGAINST evolution/creation of birds and flying creatures is appreciated!

I see you saying that i am asking easily answered questions, well then, by all means answer them. Really, link to the evidence please. Just saying that there are answers but not providing answers is like taking a test and saying"I know all the answers to the questions but do not feel like writing them down" Anyone can say they are right without stating any evidence. I dont care about being "Quite uncomfortable", and do not ignore the "answers" Also i would like to point out that i said "any evidence FOR OR AGAINST creation/evolution is appreciated, I also said "EVIDENCE"
Yet i notice that you say that i blindly accept christianity, and ignore any contrary evidence, that is irrelevant, the topic is how flying creatures came to be, not if I am an idiot who plugs his ears every time someone challenges his belief.
Please link to the evidence next time. -Bookworm

Nonukes is getting closer.
At least you supplied a theory after you insulted me. That is one step closer to talking about the topic WITHOUT calling me a blind numbskull with no brain!
Next time just present evidence please.

Wait a minute
All i wanted was to see both sides of the issue, almost every site on the internet is biased, yes creationist sites are almost always biased as well.
I understand that you did not call me stupid, but it has been implied by several people.
Please forgive me for over reacting. But saying that i am wrong does not help prove you right. Providing evidence i am wrong will help prove you right.

Reply to capt stormfield.
That is actually part of the reason i started the thread, to "get off my @#% and do my homework, i also want creationists to see that evolutionists are not saying " look a rock! It must be over a million years old because it looks funny!" And i want evolutionists to see that creationists do not say " squid are so awesome that they cannot possibly be the result of evolution! Everyone thinks that they are right, but very few people ever think that maybe, just maybe, someone else has a point. Maybe I am wrong in what i believe, maybe you are wrong in what you believe, but looking at something from a different perspective will help us all understand each other better, and allow us to communicate without calling each others' belief "stupid"
Yes that does sound very cheesy, but really, cant we all act mature? Almost everyone here is acting like a child! A WHINY FIVE YEAR OLD CHILD!
This is off topic but i had to say it. Get it out of my system.

Re: Reply to capt stormfield.
Nonukes, my point was that we should at least think about what the other group has to say, and look at the evidence with an open mind, before calling them wrong. From now on, if anyone has something to say to me that is not about wether or not flight could have evolved, pleaee pm me. We are cluttering up the thread with arguing and insulting each other! If you want to argue, argue about evolution/creation and present evidence. Also, anyone who wants to insult me go ahead and pm me that as well. That way you wont look like jerks. (To everyone else at least.)

Re: Reply to capt stormfield.
Subbie, what you say is Sad yet true, this is another reason i started the backwards debate. I wanted for both sides to understand each other. It is sad that we say that others are wrong without even knowing what the other has to say. To creationists: what would jesus say about how you just attack another persons belief without listening to what they have to say? The bible says "do unto other as you would have them do unto you!" And to evolutionists: did our ancestors crawl/slither/ooze/flop out of the ocean just so that their descendants could argue all day without at least thinking about what our opponent has to say? And to everyone: I know several children who act more mature than you lot! The least you could do is read what the other side has written, pay attention to what they say, and appreciate the effort they put into supporting what they believe!
Be you creationist, evolutionist, or somewhere in between, please listen, care, and understand. We dont have to be enemies just because we disagree.
