Getting married is not a special right. It's not as if homosexuals are asking that only they should be able to marry. Even if you are correct in your argument you lose anyway. Very quickly now the majority opinion is shifting away from you. If you want to stay in a society that will probably support your views for at least your lifetime the you should move to Africa.Also I see that your God has a rather poor aim. Those societies in greatest disagreement with you seem to be doing the best. Certainly with an overall quality of life higher than the African countries and the USofA. What you will not see in your lifetime or the lifetime of your youngest relatives is God improving his aim. The "just you wait" cry has been used for centuries and has gotten a bit humorous.

Yes the majority opinion has been going against Christians for some time. We do what we can in the hope of pushing it back, but it seems to be winning anyway. That's of course why I keep congratulating the devil. I don't know which societies you are talking about but it doesn't matter how well they are doing now; if they were formerly Christian they're going down hard under God's judgment. He has no reason to judge nonChristian societies as harshly but eventually the whole world is going down. I'm an American at heart, very sad to see her go, and it will be hard to take the vitriol of the "progressives" but I expect to go through it. EvC has given me a tough hide, I hope it holds up if things get physical. We also have to hope some will see the light and be saved. Bullshit Faith. The majority is not against Christians but against bigotry, hate and the brand of Christianity you try to market.

What would really be horrible is if America gets wiped out financially---is poor and destitute---and the rest of the world begins being wealthier and more successful...all the while denying God. Will the U.S. Christians be humble at this point or will they turn angry and insist on bringing back patriotism rather than Jesus...

Economic collapse is one of the big ways God judges a nation and we've certainly been on the verge of it for years. There are plenty of Christians these days who understand that we're past political solutions, but I've been hoping for revival for a long time and I've pretty much given up that it's going to happen because the Church itself has too much to repent of that isn't going to happen. I'd really like to be wrong about that. I used to be certain that we were in the "last days". Now? I won't say what I believe except to say that some of the people will get reallly into Jesus and spirituality while the educated elite will be convinced that we are nuts and a danger and threat to society. Im not as fundamentalist as you, Faith...I agree that many christians are haters and bigots...but I also believe that Jesus is God and that logic, reason, and reality by itself wont be enough to pull humanity out of the growing spiritual crises.I foresee many people saying that our charismania is a threat to the growth and recovery of global society once they get into this next big depression....and I don't want to be a doomsayer....but I think that what you see as persecution now is nothing compared to what will happen globally then. They will declare that "religious zealots" are a stumbling block to human progress.To all of you who have faith in human wisdom alone: I wont say you are wrong, but I will say that the only real hope for society is knowing Jesus Christ. Not Jesus the fumbling human...as is incorrectly portrayed by some---but by Jesus the only hope for humanity.
