Re: An interesting example of women speaking during a service.
Wait for it, it's coming. Sometimes many years pass while sin accumulates before God lowers the boom. Really it's already here if you understand the signs, such as the increase in popularity of Islam since 9/11 when they attacked us, but I'm sure you'll need something a little more definite than that.

Re: An interesting example of women speaking during a service.
She's lost husband and children recently because she refused to compromise on gay marriage and other "liberal" causes.
So you are saying that God would have punished her for compromising on liberal causes by letting her stay with her family?
God's judgement on those who defy his laws is to put them into a loving family?

That is a point I try to always bring up. There was no "Golden Age". If anything the present is the "Golden Age".
There was never a time of hyper morality that people like Faith harken back to. Morality and quality of life continues to change and improve every generation. So far.

Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts
"God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness.

I applaud Christine Wieck for her courage. She's lost husband and children recently because she refused to compromise on gay marriage and other "liberal" causes.
Did I miss something? How did gay marriage force her to lose her husband and children?

I don't recall ever talking about some "Golden Age." Things are, however, a lot worse now than they ever were before in my lifetime, if that's what you mean.

Mad as I get at all of you, when it really hits me how bad it is going to get I do feel sorry for all of you and hope you will see that Jesus can save you if things get as horrible as I think they are going to. It may be a lot harder on me at first but I'm not worried about me in the end, but I am worried about all of you.

Today the typical westerner is far more moral than Jesus.
Just when I think you are an honest representative of Christianity you make off the wall comments such as this one which you have no evidence nor business making. First of all, Jesus was talking in context to the people He encountered at that time with the customs that they employed--stoning being a prime example. What you fail to acknowledge when you make such a statement such as this is that
1)Jesus was not simply some human character that sinned and made mistakes. Most chapters of club christian, as you call it, see Jesus as the Nicene Creed sees Him. Did you not claim at one time to be a "Creedal Christian"?
2) The typical Westerner is not at all moral.

Another chance for you to learn Faith.
Try truth Faith.
Faith writes:
I think Bush's Baal worship service was two or three days after 9/11. Any time another religion is hosted there is a time of Baal worship. How many over the years, I don't know. But I'm glad somebody finally stood up to protest.
Bullshit Faith. Utter bullshit.
Baal was a simple honorific of several semitic tribes meaning "Lord" or "Master" or maybe you were thinking of the character created in the 17th century as one of the seven lords of hell. Or maybe you meant the Baal that was a Canaanite diety.
But none of those were used or represented in the 9-11 service.
And despite your continued misrepresentation and denial of the truth the Protestant Episcopal Church is not simply Christian but has the legitimacy conferred by actually being in the Apostolic Succession.

Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

I'm using "Baal" as a catchall for all the pagan idolatrous religions. I could name Molech and Dagon and Tammuz and others if you like. Or Allah.

Are people really becoming more moral?
Theodoric writes:

I agree. When Paul wrote Romans he was referring to people in general...the human condition when he said
Rom 3:9-11 writes:
We have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under sin. 10 As it is written:
"There is no one righteous, not even one;
11 there is no one who understands,
no one who seeks God.
One could argue that the standards of morality have evolved since the days of Paul and Rome.
Theodoric writes:
Morality and quality of life continues to change and improve every generation.
In some ways I agree with you. In other ways, I disagree. Modern warfare is more horrific and attrocious than anything in Pauls day. The typical Westerner is a hedonist.
2 Tim 3:1-5 writes:
There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God- 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power.
Can anyone argue that this does not describe the life on the streets in any large modern city?

LOL
But Allah is just the God of Abraham, the same God Jesus worshiped and prayed to.

Re: Another chance for you to learn Faith.
The name of the God of Abraham is not Allah, it's Jehovah or Yahweh. The name of God matters. Allah was originally the name of a god in the Arab pantheon of gods, but Mohammed promoted him to God.

Pros & Cons Of Todays Life
Taq writes:
If today's quality of life is a curse, then I say we need to be cursed more often.
There are pros and cons.
Pro: Our medical care has evolved and developed and is capable of stopping many of the diseases and accidents that doomed ancient peoples.
Con: It costs a fortune and is becoming something that only wealthier people can afford. Additionally, many of the worst diseases such as diabetes and cancer can be caused by the habits of our culture.
Pro: Wars are becoming more infrequent...so far.
Con: The potential for mass destruction and death has increased technologically.
Pro: People are becoming more empathetic towards fellow humans and less bigoted--in general.
Con: People are becoming less spiritual and more competitive as global resources shrink.

Ah yes, Faith New Speak.
Sorry Faith but Allah just like Baal is simply a generic term.
You are of course free to spout your fantasies but Islam is still one of the three Judaic faiths.
