Well I am not homophobic but I was glad to find out that I have a natural preference for women.

It sure is interesting. I work with some openly racist people on occasion and I seldom let a racist comment pass without objecting. However, my IAT results show that I have a moderate preference for Europeans over Africans. Which is worse, conscious or subconscious racism?

The faces and words belong in a certain category whether you liked it or not. What the tests look at is the time differences between your ability to pick the correct category. An intuitively racist person will associate an African face with negative words faster than they will with positive words. Same same for gender.
