Can't figure out how to embed a youtube video that starts at a specific time. When I append #t=1m25s (for example) to the end of the URL, I don't get anything but the video starting at 0:00.
Is this not possible with the dB utube code? Is there an HTML code that will allow this? I tried the iframe code suggested on the internet, but that seemed to produce only an empty box.
This is a video I was trying to post in another message with the suggested link given by YouTube (they use ? instead of #). It starts at the beginning no matter how I format it.

Excellent. I remember seeing that alternative when looking up codes to use, but I never tried it and wouldn't have known to put "start" in front of it.
Thanks.

Excellent! Thank you for that.
A possibly related question: is there something special that the youtube videos embedded at EvC run through? I think this is the only site where I cannot see any embedded videos on Firefox. Works fine in other browsers. I imagine I have to tweak a setting in Firefox related to how EvC displays youtube videos, but I don't know what that setting would be.
I've also read other people having problems seeing all embedded videos in Firefox, so it might be a glitch in the FF software, but I think other sites' embedded videos work for me so my problem might be different...

Never mind.
I got it to work in FF Safe Mode. Must be an add on conflict! I'll have to figure out which one's giving me trouble.
ABE: Oh wow. It was my Google Disconnect addon, meant to stop google from tracking my movement around the web. I wonder why I need that turned off only for EvC??? Even with that addon enabled, other sites still show embedded videos...
Edited by Jon, : No reason given.

Still not working.
This seems to be a known problem with the addon: Google Disconnect Reviews.
It apparently blocks the embedded content on certain sites but not on others. I might have to look into getting another addon that has a similar function but without the side effect.
At least I know where the problem lies now, though. This has been bugging me for a couple of years ...
