There is months' worth of schadenfreude piling up out there!

New Virginia Attorney General Drops Defense of Gay Marriage Ban
I think he's newly in power for about a month or so? A pretty powerful thing to say:

While Virginia has a storied place in the founding of our nation and has contributed to the development of our democracy, it has also been on the wrong side of court cases involving school desegregation, interracial marriage, and state-supported single-sex education. Good god, what is happening in this country?! Virginia, home of the Confederacy now embracing them negroes and them homos, violating their conservative god given values. It's like the whole conservative march backward from reality is coming to a screeching halt! God's going to punish this nation hard. He's going to take his christian people out of this country and leave it to them atheists and liberals. We can only hope.

Just to point out.. Loving v. Virginia was the case that overturned the restriction on interracial marriage.

But that was a federal case brought against the state of Virginia. So AZPaul3's point still stands.
Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts "God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness.

I knew if felt funny outside for some reason...
Supreme Court rules states must allow same-sex marriage

Right, and Civil Rights protestors were criminals put in jail too, and Christian pastors in Communist countries were made criminals and put in jail, beaten and murdered as well, lots of criminals in this world made criminals by evil laws over the centuries and subjected to abuse. It finally came to America, now we can suffer like our brothers and sisters in the rest of history and the world.

As long as it makes you happy all is right with the world.
But don't pretend it is a matter of being a Christian because it it is not. That is simply a cheap trick to try to justify bigotry and hate. It is not Christians being sanctioned but bigoted criminals.Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

If they were they would have been kind to them and prayed for them.

Bigoted criminals are of course rightly subject to every kind of abuse, it's all a matter of what you call people isn't it.

I'm glad to hear it. If they were they would have been kind to them and prayed for them. Did you get my point at all? That homosexuals tend to be at the front of the line for persecution? Even ahead of Christians? Because it's often the Christians who are doing the persecuting?
