More images from Pluto
Nitrogen glaciers!!! flowing through the valleys marked in red. The glacial front is marked in blue. WOW!!
ABE: The Sputnik Planum appears to be a giant lake of frozen nitrogen.
Here it looks as though the planet (sorry, dwarf planet ) has experienced a period of global warming where the nitrogen melted and had become liquid. Note the large blocks of nitrogen ice broken up along the "shore." (at least that's how I interpret this image) WOW!!!
What incredible images. What a strange and beautiful world.
However, I think I will scratch Pluto off my list of preferred vacation spots

Whoever calls me ignorant shares my own opinion. Sorrowfully and tacitly I recognize my ignorance, when I consider how much I lack of what my mind in its craving for knowledge is sighing for... I console myself with the consideration that this belongs to our common nature. - Francesco Petrarca
"Nothing is easier than to persuade people who want to be persuaded and already believe." - another Petrarca gem.
Ignorance is a most formidable opponent rivaled only by arrogance; but when the two join forces, one is all but invincible.
