Except for when it comes to choosing their wardrobe, then they don't get equal status to men by having the freedom to wear what they want, they can only wear clothes that you approve of.

Hi, GIA. Indeed. Then logically, before we pass a law, we should make sure there is pretty good evidence that the benefits of forced conformity will outweigh the detriments. Or are you proposing that this semantic game you're playing is adequate justification for forcing conformity arbitrarily? ...which we all agree is a bad thing, right? That's why democratic nations build into their constitutions things like a "Bill of Rights" and a system of checks and balances: to protect individual liberties and prevent one group from dominating all the others.
