Nobody has ever considered other people celebrating their own holidays as a 'War on Christmas'.
What has been regarded as such a war are the repeated efforts by bafoons like you to erase all traces of Western culture and identity in the guise of 'recognizing other religions and beliefs'.
For example, by stealing the creative work of someone who meant to communicate their beliefs on the meaning of Christmas and rewriting it to promote your own sick anything-goes Multiculturalism.

There is absolutely no reason for christians to celebrate winter solstice ...
And they don't.
More accurate, ergo more better.
Huh? The purpose of the cartoon isn't to be 'accurate' but to communicate the thoughts of its creator(s).
Rewriting that scene to make the characters say something else is no less a war on that culture than ISIS' destruction of archaeological sites is a war on the cultural heritage of the Middle East.

I cannot understand how anything in your post is related to what I've said.

Christmas is a Federal and cultural holiday.
Those who want to view it with their own religious significance are free to do so.

Huh?
That makes no sense.
Those characters are created to convey the thoughts and feelings of the author(s). Their ability to do that effective derives in large part from the extensive work of the authors in creating those characters, their peculiar natures, etc. There are few of us who can see the scene in that bastardization without recollecting the atmosphere created in the original, and that atmosphere is part of the power of the message. The message in the bastardization would have very little force or meaning were it two stick figures just talking about the technical origins of the holiday of Christmas.
And that's why the bastard who bastardized that scene chose to use Charlie brown and all his friends: they didn't want to put in the work of creating their own powerful characters and their own powerful scenes; they just wanted to rob someone else's.

Sorry if I misunderstood you but to me you seemed to imply that the Christian reason for Xmas was the original and everything trying to not succumb to that is loathable multiculturalism.
That's not what I'm saying at all.
IMO war on xmas is a totally made-up cause for butthurt Americans to be able to portray themselves as martyrs.
Few people believe an actual war has been waged on Christmas, and those who do probably think the commercialization of Christmas to be as much a part of that war as the frequent use of "Happy Holidays" even amongst people who all celebrate Christmas.

Well it depends on what you were trying to prove with your 'example'. It sounded like you were trying to claim that your language's word for 'Christmas' is equally as void of Christian origin as those mentioned by saab93f.
But as caffeine pointed out that's not true.

Isn't that what being offensive is really about; how you make other people feel? If you really are PC, then shouldn't you care about offending the people that (mistakenly) believe in the War on Christmas? Is cracking jokes and making fun of them, and offending them further, really the PC thing to do?
In political correctness the offence only counts if it's being felt by non-white, non-Western, non-Christian folk.

Re: How Christian is Santa?
One of the few times Faith agrees with someone else on this forum regarding religion and she gets told to go fuck herself.
To actually quote Charlie Brown: Good grief!
