In fact, it would be a fine thing if more people in the South did know a little more about the history of the Civil War. Stuff like what it was about, and who won. But since years and years of exposure to Confederate flags hasn't achieved this, I'm starting to think that maybe we should try something else.

Not only is he overreacting, he's detracting from the topic of this thread: that moving statues from one place to another is just the same as being Hitler and ISIS put together.

Not at all. People should be free to move their statues with or without my approval. Also their furniture. Liberalism was never supposed to fight against the rights of a democracy to choose its own decor.
