I was sorry to hear he died but never quite understood why he was considered funny. Kinda like Jim Carrey, never understood why folk think he is funny either.

This one may be a bit obscure, but Ronnie Corbett, the more diminutive half of the Two Ronnies died last March 31st. I did not get most of their humour but I laughed my ass off at this:

Love Merle. Sometimes binge on him -- and lots of others too, but today I'm binging on Merle: This is another tribute to his life, from the 90s:

I always liked that song Are The Good Times Really Over For Good?|
It speaks to me of the lost America that I grew up idolizing. I realize now that seeing life through rose colored glasses isnt really what Jesus wants for me...but this song captures some of my nostalgia for what I felt I deserved from God.Chance as a real force is a myth. It has no basis in reality and no place in scientific inquiry. For science and philosophy to continue to advance in knowledge, chance must be demythologized once and for all. —RC Sproul "A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes." —Mark Twain

Prince found dead at his Minnesota studio at age 57; music icon was reportedly treated for drug overdose days before death — New York Daily News
Wow. Saw him as an opening act for The Rolling Stones in LA, before he hit the big time. Wow.

A loss and a life that was one of constant struggle. Lots to learn from Ali.
