Have you ever believed in your heart that Jesus is Lord? That He is Gods representative to humanity? Do you understand your Messiah...beyond your logical opinion that He is a failure until He actually completes the contract by returning? Do you thank Him for showing you the way to live and be responsible or do you take credit for all of that yourself? I agree with you=, except to say that when Jesus talked of worldly things--like money, for instance--He always used it as a metaphor for His primary concern, which was teaching us about our behavior and our duties.

I would argue that the very idea that we are the only gods we will ever have is itself idolatrous. The only reason you have any wisdom at all---indeed are able to breathe---is because of God. Yes, the supernatural One.He is the Creator. The Inventor. We are the creation. The invention.

I do not promote that we worship ourselves. I do promote that we recognize that to a human, only another human should hold the highest office, just as it was in the days of the Jewish Divine council.
Only a man can speak for god and only a man should be god. So the myth goes. It was that or bring the wrath of Rome down on all Jews.The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one. Jesus also wanted to die so what do you see wrong with his people giving him his wish?That is what Yahweh wanted and his wish cannot be thwarted. Right? TangleThe nice thing about having many gods is that the intelligent ones gain support and as it was in the days of the Divine Councils, the best are elected to the highest office.We do the same now with our political gods and the ancients did not really separate church and state.To me, separation of church and state is a stupid notion as one cannot leave half his brain out of any decision.Regards
