So how does a quote from a book whose whole purpose would be moot without statements such as "I am the Alpha and Omega" qualify to explain the problem you have of demonstratng where God came from. Of course the bible will say that!
Now where did God come from?

Re: problem...
That explains nothing old boy. It is mere opinion that the bible has anything to do with God and vice versa. It gives no indication of origins at all.

You refuse to answer the question where did God come from?
You make the statement that he always has been. Fine let us think on that. What does it mean to say He always existed? Does this mean that thousands of years passed before he created us? millions? billions? No an infinite amount of time must have passed before deciding to create the Earth. What could he possibly do with an infinite amount of time stretching back? How did he pass the time?
You limit your understanding of what it is you believe in don't you?

If you admit God exists, do you also believe His Word, the Bible? If you do, you will know I am correct in saying God has always been.
I admit nothing of the sort since I have nothing in the way of evidence to convince me that such a being exists. You offer opinion but like assholes everyone has those however not many work hard at critically evaluating their knowledge[I am one of those of which I speak]and fewer still realize how everyone has bises and faults of logic that must be scrutinized by others in order to assure ourselves that our knowledge is consistent. This is the reason for peer review and in my eyes forums like this one are the finest kind of exercise that your mind can participate in.It is not easy to give up on cherished comforting notions but the rewards are immensley satisfying.
While I am at it I will risk scorn and insinuations of sucking up to the Admins but I want to take the time while I am thinking of it to thank Percy et al. for a remarkable job in starting and maintaining this site.It is really extraordinary in my eyes.Cheers.
