Are you suggesting it will never be explained because there is no explanation?
Or that there may be a explanation but science will never find it.

No one has shown that a quantum fluctuation was not the origin of the universe.
HERE Stephan Hawking talks about the origin of the universe.
The page you were looking for doesn't exist (404)
quote:
....Thus general relativity on its own cannot answer the central question in cosmology: Why is the universe the way it is? However, if general relativity is combined with quantum theory, it may be possible to predict how the universe would start.
Note that Dr. Hawking says "it may be possible." and "would start"
and this was back in 2005
Then in Sep 3 2010 in the following article he states this:
"The universe began with the Big Bang, which simply followed the inevitable law of physics," Hawking writes. Because there is a law such as gravity, the universe can and will create itself from nothing. Page not found - The Daily Galaxy
Then the predicted gravitational waves makes the news in 2014

So there you have it. If you have the laws of physics you can get universes from nothing.
If you ask for a explanation on the origin of the laws of physics I will have to get back to you on that one.

If no logical explanation can be found then maybe the explanation is not logical.
There are quantum entanglement experiments that show effects before causes. That is not logical but just another weird way reality can manifest.
Retro-causality may not be the answer to explain how come there is something rather than nothing, it is just another example how reality can find a way to escape being pigeonholed.

The First Thing is the first thing to ever exist.
Some modern theoretical physicist believe the universe can and will create itself from nothing. This is due to the nature of the laws of physics.
We already concluded there is no explanation for where these fundamental laws have come from.
So your premise that the universe can not be explained is flawed.
It can be explained by using the laws of physics.
what can not be explained is where these laws came from.
There may or may not be a answer. Maybe the answer resides in another universe, Or maybe the laws are self existent.
Your right if you mean to say that no one can explain where the laws of physics came from. But the universe's existence is a direct result of the Big Bang. That has pretty much become the most accepted theory to date.

Hi Pressie,
You will live longer and have less stress if you start to give zerofucks about what crazy people think.
Edited by 1.61803, : No reason given.
