You can also decide which cached items to clear which lets you clear cached images but retain auto login.

Clearing the image cache does not affect auto-login. So change your avatar. If no workee then refresh. If still no workee than clear image cache. If still no workee then leave a message here and go drink a glass (or two) of a nice Cabernet. None of this will alter auto-login. Not even when the wine kicks in.
