Re: Avatar Stuck
But what if you just clear your browser cache, like I said?
You can do that if you are so inclined. Have at it. But this will not alter the fact that clearing only the image cache may fix the avatar issue while preserving a working auto-login.

Jeeze, life to short to stuff a mushroom ...
That depends on with what you stuff your mushrooms.
Parsley, Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Pinenuts, Garlic, Lemon Juice, Sea Salt, Olive Oil
or maybe
Shallots, Garlic, White Wine, Cream Cheese, Parmesan Cheese, Bread Crumbs, Salt, Pepper, Fresh Thyme, Flat Leaf Parsley
especially if you stuff more than one, like maybe a dozen or so.
With a nice Chablis these would be well worth the effort and a delectable addition to one's culinary life.
Ketchup, raisins, chocolate chips, picante sauce
not so much.

How do you do that with Firefox?

Re: Avatar Stuck
You clear the cache
After changing avatar, I click on it to see a full screen version. Then I do a forced page reload (SHIFT-reload in firefox). And I see the new version. Whether anybody else sees the new version, I cannot tell.
Note: I did not change avatar for this halloween. I didn't find a picture of a squirrel wearing a Donald Trump mask.

Re: Avatar Stuck
That sounds like it would clear more than only the image cache.

Re: Avatar Stuck
It clears whatever is in cache but that is usually images of webpages.

I rant everyday. Seems like it's always something.
You mean like when my brand new touch screen laptop automatically updated from Windoze 8 to Windoze 10 and suddenly no more touch screen?

Re: Avatar Stuck
Yesterday I upgraded my Mac to Sierra (the most recent OSX release and required in order to update to XCode 8) and discovered that Karabiner (a key mapping program) doesn't work with Sierra. I use Karabiner on the Mac and AutoHotKey on Windows to map my keys so that both Mac and Windows are the same, since I use both OS's about equally.
Today I used git to merge in changes from the online repository and XCode 8 lost track of all the project files. It now believes the project is empty, even though Finder sees the files. XCode 7 didn't have this problem.
The day before yesterday the router decided to go crazy and wouldn't let me network between my Mac and Windows machines for more than a few minutes. I had to keep reconnecting. Power cycling the router didn't help. The problem went away by itself.
What will it be today? Who knows, but it will be something. At some point maybe I'll write some code.
