Wanting to carpet bomb civilians ... goes beyond "disagreeing with the left". According to Politifact, Joe Biden misquoted Trump about carpet bombing. Trump never said anything about carpet bombing, only bombing oil fields, and specifically denied any implication of bombing civilians when that was insinuated. Not sure where he stands on waterboarding at this point. Edited by Faith, : No reason given.

Not sure where he stands on waterboarding at this point. His current stance was not the subject of Taq's post, but Trump clearly indicated during the campaign that waterboarding was the least of the measures he would approve. Turns out that his promise on that issue, like his promises on immigration and investigating Clinton have gone by the board. Trump has indicated that his conversation with General Mattis may have persuaded him against waterboarding and presumably whatever worse idea Trump had in mind. But you certainly cannot rely on those statements as any indication of what Trump has in mind. Nobody knows what's in that man's head. At any rate, you are correct. Biden was wrong. Cruz was the discredited candidate who endorsed carpet bombing. Edited by NoNukes, : No reason given. Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. At any rate, you are correct. Biden was wrong. Cruz was the discredited candidate who endorsed carpet bombing. however, while we're talking about killing civilians, in the past Trump has talked about killing terrorist's families. It's not enough to bash in heads, you've got to bash in minds soon I discovered that this rock thing was true Jerry Lee Lewis was the devil Jesus was an architect previous to his career as a prophet All of a sudden i found myself in love with the world And so there was only one thing I could do Was ding a ding dang my dang along ling long - Jesus Built my Hotrod Ministry Live every week like it's Shark Week! - Tracey Jordan Just a monkey in a long line of kings. - Matthew Good If "elitist" just means "not the dumbest motherfucker in the room", I'll be an elitist! - Get Your War On *not an actual doctor

As for voter fraud, bussing in illegals or others, registering dead people to vote and that sort of thing, that gets revealed in the Project Veritas series. Revealed? I suppose if you take reveal mean asserted repeatedly without much connecting of those assertion to verifiable facts, then 'reveal' indeed. Somebody is claiming to know that something on the oder of two million illegal votes were cast, essentially all of which were for Hillary. However, the person making the claim is in absolutely no position to know diddly squat. The claim is preposterous on its face, yet you and apparently Trump himself are absolutely sure the claim is correct. I'd really like to hear you explain your vetting process for accepting or rejecting these types of claims. Do they just ring true? Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. And yet somehow, in this one election, "millions" of fraudulent votes were made. What on earth was special about this one election that saw such a huge increase? With all of the Voter ID programs put in by the Republicans, how on earth did they manage to carry this out?Rrhain Thank you for your submission to Science. Anyone who watches NFL games has noticed the increasing presence of the military. Very similar productions are invariably followed. It is announced that the somethingth unit of the somethingth military group will be presenting the flag, usually one that covers half the field, and to please rise for our national anthem. A statement of sacrifice is made, and jets often fly over. Seals or rangers parachute into the stadium.
These are not spontaneous outpourings of national appreciation for our military. They are paid for by the military, and over the last couple years they have become more and more prominant and elaborate. Now the TV networks no longer break away during these ceremonies, so I assume the networks are now being paid, too. A growing military presence in daily life accompanied the rise of facism, along with diminishing respect for and faith in democratic institutions, a factor partially explaining the election of Trump. We can't take democracy and our Bill of Rights for granted. Threats will be made (have already been made). People will be arrested or disappear. Attitudes people are willing to express will change. In the coming years we must resist every impulse to not follow our consciences or speak our minds. --Percy

I would knock the hell out of ISIS [and] when you get these terrorists, you have to take out their families, the Republican presidential candidate said on Fox & Friends. ISIS: Donald Trump Says He'd 'Take Out' Terrorists' Families | Time Carpet bombing or no, he still wants to take out civilians. We could also discuss his latest statement where he claimed that if someone burns the US flag that they should lose their citizenship. That isn't a disagreement with the left, that is a disagreement with the US Constitution. You can't take someone's citizenship away.

Obviously you've missed the news that Hillary called for punishing flag burners herself, a decade ago:
Before Donald Trump Called for Flag-Burning Jail Time, Hillary Clinton Did So if he "takes out" civilians, impeach him already. I wish he'd restrain his rhetoric. He's not going to be able to do some of the things he might like to do. But the reason his supporters like him is that he cares about Americans whereas the Left is bent on destroying America. Everything you all say here is straight out of the Cultural Marxist agenda to kill America and Western Civilization. And most of it has to be trumped up against Trump. You won't believe the evidence that the violence at his rallies was provoked by the left, though it's about as good evidence as anybody gets for such things; you have to have ironclad evidence that millions of illegals and dead people voted for Hillary -- well, I do too, but meanwhile I recognize genuine sincerity when I see it and you guys have to make liars out of everybody who disagrees with you for no good reason. You ignore the fact that the violent protests are the Left's work, you make up excuses to rationalize away the evidence that has been produced. You WANT to be blind to the real agenda of the Left. The hatred of Trump is manufactorues by the Leftist propaganda machine. Not that he isn't guilty of shooting his mouth off at timesm, but they blow it all out of proportion and stir people up unnecessarily. AT LEAST HE CARES ABOUT US, you know, AMERICANS, which gollyl gee, you'd think would be the first obligation of the American President. Not something we could say for Obama, that's for sure, who has been selling us down the river for his entire presidency. Or for Hillary, who is just another tool of the puppetmasters of the Left such as Soros. I see that Percy has managedf to manufacture fascism out of the military presence at sports games that has been going on for FOUR years, the duration of OBAMA's presidency. The military presrence under fascism was called out by thew political leaders, and they marched down the streets for the purpose of striking fear into anybody who dissented, but for whatever stupid reason we've got them at football games in some kind of effort to advertize patriotism. THERE IS NOP CVOMPARISON, and besides it has nothing to do with tRUMP. What is the matter with you people??????>??

They are paid for by the military, and over the last couple years they have become more and more prominant and elaborate. Now the TV networks no longer break away during these ceremonies, so I assume the networks are now being paid, too. All true. I have a slightly different take on what's going on. I understand the nefarious appearance, but my somewhat informed impression is that the military appearances are "branding" intended to promote interest in becoming a member of our all volunteer armed forces and are similar to the kind of stuff NASCAR does and the tobacco companies used to do before such advertising became illegal. I remember these military also being very ubiquitous after the first Iraq war. There were other periods where these kinds of appearances were prominent. Perhaps you remember those SNL skits that used to mock the Navy commercials. In short, the appearances are a recruiting tool. If those appearances are prominent it is probably because the folks making military decisions, which might well be military folk are trying to meet recruiting goals. Those folks are not the same ones that make the decisions about the size of the military. Under our system, civilian leadership makes those decisions and currently the civilians appear to be doing more downsizing than ramping up. The current focus for spending money seems to be procuring high tech hardware. The networks are paid, of course, but the Blue Angels, and other similar fly-over guys generate lots of free TV time, because folks generally think they look cool. And of course that is exactly the reason why your taxes are spent on showing off. The military also has marching bans, show off drill squads, and other eye catching assets for similar reasons. No submarine races though... (USNA humor) Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. I understand the nefarious appearance, but my somewhat informed impression is that the military appearances are "branding" intended to promote interest in becoming a member of our all volunteer armed forces ... Yeah, I don't watch much sports, so I don't see this, but your take seems reasonable ... but this is also how militarization creep occurs: making it more "normal" to see military in everyday life, like the militarized police.

Obviously you've missed the news that Hillary called for punishing flag burners herself, a decade ago: Before Donald Trump Called for Flag-Burning Jail Time, Hillary Clinton Did Yeah, and guess what. The idea is f'ed up no matter who comes up with it. The issue has been settled for decades. Even Scalia was on the right side of freedom of speech and his crabbed view of the First Amendment is not in any way expansive or 'liberal'. If the best defense you can muster is that Hillary said, it too, you lose. The idea that you can deprive someone of their citizenship because you don't like how they speak is inane. Trump is rightly called on it.
What is the matter with you people??????>?? Dislike of fascism? Is that a problem for you? We have a president-elect who spends his early morning spewing fascist nonsense, and you think that there is nothing do discuss? What's wrong with you? Following the activation of the North Dakota National Guard on September 8, peaceful Dakota Access Pipeline protests quickly became flooded with militarized law enforcement We need a thread covering the pipeline controversy.
