It is "We the people" that establish government and determine what it should do.
That is such a nonsequtur I may not get the cramp out of my neck for days.
What ARE you talking about?

I believe that the Religious Right defines that as secular humanism. At least that's what they defined "secular humanism" to be since the 1980's.
Actually, secular humanism was supplanted by Postmodernism, which is now pretty much supplanted by out and out paganism. Which would you care to apply to the question of how a nation should be governed?
Nations are generally governed by laws and Jesus didn't bring Laws, He brought salvation to individuals. That was my point. You can of course choose whatever laws you want, even make Jesus the author of laws although He wasn't. Perverse humanity can do anything it wants, and in fact has been making perverse laws in America for decades, maybe going on a century by now. More pagan by the hour too.

Aren't you discriminating against the poor Africans and Mongols and Indians who would also seek a better life if they happened to live next to the American border? Isn't discrimination against a class of people against the American dream?
You're actually referring to the issue of how to establish quotas for different nations. I think some of the considerations should be factors like strife or unrest; economic hardships like drought or starvation; interest level; professions of need; odds of success; family ties; etc.

But no quotas for anyone who comes over our southern border. Rank discrimination against all the impoverished peoples of the world it seems to me.
However, if strife or unrest is an important criterion for being included in a quota, all the Christians who are being persecuted and martyred around the world, mostly by Muslims, but also by Hindus, ought to be first on the list. Interesting that Obama wants us to take Muslims but hardly any of the Christians among the refugees from Syria.
But cultural compatibility isn't big on the leftists' list. The whole point is to kill America, culturally and literally. Whether by Muslim refugees or self-selected illegals coming over the southern border. Heaven forbid Americans might have rights in the matter.

No one has suggested excluding Mexico from immigration quotas.
The rest of your post seems to be marching off into the crazy again, and you appear to be trying to pick a fight. I'd like to keep this thread civil and rational. If you can't do that then please get off the thread.

If I told someone to get off my thread, which I did once or twice I believe, I'd be called on it by Admin, which I was as I recall, because EvC is all about fairness and equality and I can't determine who posts to my thread. But I understand you're a special case.
Do I now have your permission to tell people to get off my threads?
Believe it or not I'm not trying to pick a fight, I'm trying to get the truth across. That's what I try to do in all my posts. But being odd man out at EvC it ends up picking fights because the locals don't like my opinions.

Too funny.

Again, Faith, have you ever actually read the US Constitution? Perhaps you can point to the passages that address "Saved individuals" for us.
And again, Jesus never said we should make money feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, sheltering the homeless, healing the sick or protecting the weak.
Civilized nations seem to understand that and so provide through taxation so that all the individuals contribute to the common weal.

Deleted in the interest of not being further provocative. This thread is already descending into more heat (or hate) than light.

POTUS vs Trump Inc.
So far I have still not seen the details of how the separation between POTUS and Trump Inc will be carried out. Are there any details on that available? What is the status of the audit that was in process even before the election? Will the financial material that was promised including tax returns ever be made public?

Re: POTUS vs Trump Inc.
While we may not know the details of this separation, what we do know is that it will be great... in fact it will the greatest separation between the POTUS and his personal holdings that has ever been... It will be so great of a plan... unbelievably great...you've never seen anything like it... you are gonna be so amazed at how great a plan it is.
