Speaking of mockery
One thing that can be said about the Trump Presidency is that not since Ronald Regan and before that Tricky Dick have we had a President that will provide so much free ammunition for mockery. LBJ may have come close when it comes to narcissism but only close.

Re: Did Trump mock a disabled reporter?
Let's put this one to bed, then: Donald Trump did not mock a handicapped reporter. The gestures were ones Trump typically uses when mocking someone.
It will be, uh, interesting to see how the more inimical aspects of Trump's behavior play out as President.

Re: Did Trump mock a disabled reporter?
Past Presidents have had enemies lists, have been annoyed by what public figures said about them but were also bright enough to at least try to keep their feelings hidden. They realized that speaking out publicly when they were mocked in word or cartoon or comedy skit would simply provide additional materials to be used to ridicule themselves.
It does not seem Trump is bright enough to realize that. He seems to think responses like those directed at Meryl Streep make him look Presidential instead of sounding like the kiddie on the playground saying "I'm rubber you're glue...".

Same-sex Marriage
Donald Trump has claimed he's okay with same-sex marriage, calling it settled law by way of SCOTUS decisions.
Do we take him at his word, or do we 'look into his heart' as KellyAnne Conway suggests, and try to divine his true feelings on the matter?
Do you, Faith, think you know his mind on this matter, as you seem to know his mind on so many other things?

Re: Did Trump mock a disabled reporter?
I addressed only his remarks about Cruz's wife, not his father, and his saying he shouldn't have sent the photo, whatever that article says about it, others call it an apology. Your having a stricter standard is irrelevant.
It was clearly not an apology; That you have a loose standard when Trump or your other favorites are concerned is what is truly irrelevant. Cruz does not consider it an apology and has said so.
Perhaps you should have cited a better reference if you want to claim that anyone reasonably considers Trump's statement an apology.

You're asking if one of Trump's inimical aspects concerns me especially more than others? I don't think so, no.
You seem to have the wrong idea of my feelings about Trump. His country is my country, your country, all our country, and his success or failure will be to our benefit or loss. My every hope is for Trump's success, but having not lived in a hole for the last 18 months I can't ignore all the signs that he may be the worst prepared President short of Grant or Johnson (Andrew), and be in the least possession of what might be called the kind of political temperament necessary to success in such high office. Though I hope that Trump's inappropriate-to-the-task qualities just make him a unique rather than disastrous President, he feels like a walking time bomb.
I agree with Trump on some things like corporate tax reform and tax shelter reform, and I am on the opposite side of Trump on a few other issues: climate change, health insurance, immigration reform, and taxes on the rich.

His narcissism is the basis for his foreign policy. If a world leader says nice things about Trump, he will bend over backwards to do whatever they want. Putin is a perfect example of this.
He doesn't care if he uses lies to attack people that are critical of his policies.
Today's policies are tomorrow's garbage. He thinks the best path is whatever he feels like that day.
Trump thinks women are sex objects, and little else.
Those are a few off the top of my head.

Russia May Have Collected Embarrassing and Prurient Information About Trump
According to the New York Times, the briefing Trump received last week on Russian election-influencing efforts included "unsubstantiated reports that Russia had collected compromising and salacious personal information about Mr. Trump, two officials with knowledge of the briefing said." The article continues:
quote:
The material was not corroborated, and The New York Times has not been able to confirm the claims. But intelligence agencies considered it so potentially explosive that they decided Mr. Obama, Mr. Trump and congressional leaders needed to be told about it and that the agencies were actively investigating it.
The nature of the unsubstantiated "compromising and salacious personal information" is as follows:
  • Sex videos of Trump with prostitutes in a Moscow hotel in 2013.
  • Russia proposed lucrative deals to Trump in efforts at influence.
  • Trump met with Russian officials several times during the 2016 Presidential campaign to discuss matters of mutual interest.
I want to stress that the information is unconfirmed at this time.

Re: How the Wall will be a success
While the Trump Wall is a truly stupid idea when considered for controlling immigration it certainly is a brilliant idea when considered as yet another way to get all the utterly ignorant US citizens to move money from their pockets into the pockets of a select few rich folk. Fortunately the US citizenry is so willfully ignorant that many will applaud getting raped yet again.
Here's a bit of news regarding that wall:
quote:
Tribal leadership of Tohono O’odham Nation in southern Arizona said they won’t support a border wall project on their land. Part of their reservation extends into Mexico and covers 75 miles of the international border.
The tribe’s chairman and vice chair said the plan was always to try to work with whoever holds the office of the United States President. But, they added, it’s still too early to tell exactly how Donald Trump’s administration will impact the tribe.
Vice Chairman Verlon Jose explained tribal members have traversed their ancestral land since time immemorial, and a wall of any sort would not be supported by the community.
Over my dead body will a wall be built, Jose said, describing some community members’ sentiments. I don’t wish to die but I do wish to work together with people so we can truly protect the homeland of this place they call the United States of America. Not only for our people but for the American people.

I want to stress that the information is unconfirmed at this time.
See also
quote:
SNOPES: Memos leaked to the media claiming that Trump was blackmailed by Russian operatives are not verified.
While the news was being reported as "breaking," the information had actually been explored in depth in a 31 October 2016 article by Mother Jones. Unlike Mother Jones, however, on 10 January 2016, Buzzfeed published the document in full:
A dossier making explosive but unverified allegations that the Russian government has been cultivating, supporting and assisting President-elect Donald Trump for years and gained compromising information about him has been circulating among elected officials, intelligence agents, and journalists for weeks.
The dossier, which is a collection of memos written over a period of months, includes specific, unverified, and potentially unverifiable allegations of contact between Trump aides and Russian operatives, and graphic claims of sexual acts documented by the Russians. CNN reported Tuesday that a two-page synopsis of the report was given to President Barack Obama and Trump.
Now BuzzFeed News is publishing the full document so that Americans can make up their own minds about allegations about the president-elect that have circulated at the highest levels of the US government.
The 36-page document's most discussed claim may be that the Russian government possesses a video of Trump engaging in an orgy with prostitutes who perform a "golden shower," or urinate on each other in an effort to defile a bed once slept on by the Obamas because (according to the report) Trump "hated" them.
It also claims that the regime of Russian president Vladimir Putin has been actively "cultivating, assisting and supporting" Trump for five years:

The sad thing is, while some people are saying these are lies or fake news, no one is saying no this can't be true because Trump would never do any of these things.
Based on Trump's whole history this is all completely in character for him, it's easy to believe he would do all these things, including betraying America.
He certainly dishonors America.

I've heard this but have seen nothing I would describe that way. Without knowing exactly what you have in mind I'd guess it's his determination to answer what people say against him, which I see as a strength, keeping the lies to a minimum and the public informed of the truth. Is my guess in the ballpark?
