You don't need a chip to do that. The rich have been controlling people's finances for millennia. There is nothing unique in current events that corresponds to Revelation 13. Being wrong for 40 years doesn't make a good resume.

Bartering is hardly possible in a so-called high tech society or with cursed large cities (made by man). No they don't. The mark is only one bit of information, true or false, yes you can buy and sell or no you can't. That information can be conveyed by a tattoo or a brand and those technologies have been around forever. Who cares? The Revelation was written for people who were alive at the time. Forewarners have been forewarning for two thousand years and all of them have been wrong. So yeah, it makes sense to question your forewarning.If you want people to take your forewarning seriously, you'll have to show some reason to think that the Revelation applies to us and only us.
