Trump claims that it's a Witch Hunt. He also doesn't know what a "witch hunt" is. A witch hunt refers to a paranoid fear of hidden enemies that becomes so overwhelming that ordinary people (or low level employees) are accused and punished with no real evidence. Think of the Red Scare during the McCarthy period. Or the actual 17th century Salem witch trials. In this case, the people being accused of potential wrong doing are high level people that have actually met with and have done business with Russians or their agents during the campaign and after the election. Even if one believes the charges are groundless, "witch hunt" really isn't the proper phrase for this. A Witch Hunt makes me think of the 4th amendment. When there's no rational reason or verifiable evidence to justify the search, it's a witch hunt. But in Trump's case, any rational review of the evidence suggests that a hunt/search is very much called for. IMO, any objective observer would observe: WTF?

Innocent parties would welcome a special investigation to clear their name once and for all. A guilty party would deflect, cry witch hunt, bring up Hillary and look into ethics loopholes to obstruct the investigation.

The first thing I though when I saw the headlines that Malanie and Ivanka weren't wearing headscarves was, "Good for them!"

So Trump reaches out to the Muslim world, and doesn't condemn Islam as a murderous cult, as it's often described on these boards by Trump supporters.
How do Trump supporters feel about that ?Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ? |

Did Trump get campaign donations from defense contractors?
This would be a worthy discussion instead of this Russian conspiracy bull crap. Saudi Arabia spends $87 billion a year on its aggressor I mean "defense " budget. Iran spends $14 billion a year. This is a county that is full of royal family parasites that loot the middle eastern people, murder its own citizens, and with one of the worst overall human rights records in the world. A nation that bombs some of its neighbors (like Yemen where 10,000 civilians have been murdered by Saudi bombardment ), and arms and mans rebel groups against some others ( like Syria and Iraq ). Sickening.

March 27 New York Times reported these military budgets.
Per year in billions U. K. $55Russia $66 France $51 India $51 Japan $41 Saudi Arabia $87 China $215 Saudi Arabia just got a contract to buy $350 billion more in weapons from the United States military industry over 10 years. This raw weapons purchase is over half per year of the entire Russian budget. Raw ADDITIONAL weapons purchase, that is. But Russia is just so dangerous to the peace of the Middle East. The upcoming Trump Budget hopes to address many of the ills the US faces. It will support cutting billions from Medicaid coverage and allow States to encourage our citizens to become more active by imposing work requirements as a condition for receiving anti-poverty program aid. It will encourage people to move out of poverty and into the workforce.
source Remember how Robin Hood stole from the rich to help the poor?                        Well, this ain't that exactly.

And before someone chastises me for 'leftist tactics against the president', the above is a Fox News article. Not that it matters. The idea that none of the newspapers, news sites, and tv news ever tell the truth is for shite. Mike Flynn was not fired by two different presidents for no reason. Any one, fool or not, can see that. Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. Thoreau: Civil Disobedience (1846) History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people. Martin Luther King I never considered a difference of opinion in politics, in religion, in philosophy, as cause for withdrawing from a friend. Thomas Jefferson Seems to me if its clear that certain things that require ancient dates couldn't possibly be true, we are on our way to throwing out all those ancient dates on the basis of the actual evidence. -- Faith Some of us are worried about just how much damage he will do in his last couple of weeks as president, to make it easier for the NY Times and Washington post to try to destroy Trump's presidency. -- marc9000

Can somebody make some sense out of this?
quote: CNN reports that they were told by the state department not to name the source of the intel even now, and they followed those instructions. Then Trump just blurts out the source in a public denial. Even if there were some leaks, doesn't presidential confirmation make things worse? Surely I am missing something. But what? It's about time the source of all these leaks of secret information was made to stop. Shut Up Donald. Go sit back down at the kiddy table and stop annoying the adults. You really aren't cute anymore.

It seems that Trump asked the head of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence as well as the head of NSA (NoSuchAgency) to push back against the FBI investigation into the Russian Affair.
