The jobs report that came out a couple days ago said that job growth in May slowed to 138,000. A number around 185,000 had been expected. In addition, the job numbers for March and April were revised sharply downward. When does the winning stop? Trumps claim of 1,000,000 jobs created was based on ADP reports which also claims that jobs grew by 253,000 in May. The official job creation numbers are about half of what ADP says. I suppose Trump's claims are not exactly lying. Although they do reflect a bit of cherry picking. I am sure that Faith will find a way to blame this on the left. I don't see how, but...

"White House sources" say he didn't know about the Al Udeid Air base. Critical to US operations from Afghanistan to North Africa.
Of course if he talked to his people it would have come up.

Trump started his first televised cabinet meeting by offering self-praise for his accomplishments to date. Among his claims was the boast that few presidents had passed as much legislation as he had. Of course, most folks know that Congress has yet to pass any major legislation.
Nothing newsworthy, there. Same old self-aggrandizing buffoonery we can read on Twitter on any given weekday. But then Trump goes around the room getting cabinet members to chime in with their own (well over the top) words of praise. Pence does his sycophant impression with: being Trump's VP is "the greatest privilege of my life." Priebus seemed to understand the farce he was participating in and offered this:
quote: I am guessing that Priebus won't be around much longer. Only General Mattis managed to preserve some of his dignity, using his turn to praise the troops. But otherwise, the televised part of the meeting was pretty hilarious. How did the televised spectacle end?
quote: I'd welcome any discussion from conservatives on why this meeting was not either a) creepy, or b) hilarious. Maybe something like, "Trump is just getting the real message out since the corrupt press won't laud the president about his wins?" Ah, well, more late night fodder I guess. On the "election collusion" stuff, I guess I should refer you to the Friday, June 9, 2017 New York Post article, TIME's MAJOR STORY BLUNDER by Bob Fredericks.
A Thursday June 8 Tweet by Dean Baquet said that the Comey "it was not true" answer to the committee would cause the NYT to "report back with more information as soon as we can " on this Paul Manafort related issue.
quote: There has been no posting here at EVC on the issue, so I will offer this above for those who are interested in following the developments. The Feb 14 headline was TRUMP CAMPAIGN HAD REPEATED CONTACTS WITH RUSSIAN INTELLIGENCE. I appreciate the New York Times and am thrilled to see that they are adding 100 more journalists to a paper that has much cheaper online subscriptions than the (also outstanding ) too expensive Wall Street Journal. The Washington Post has reasonable prices too. The Guardian is free but has seen its once $50 billion (or so I remember ) endowment drain down so low that it might not last long. Sad. Very sad.

I believe ol' Newty boy is seeking some presidential scraps from the presidential table. He has been making his rounds on the pundit circuit with utter amnesia.
